  • Talking about tyre pressures and why (for the majority of riders and situations) you should keep yours at the specified pressure.
Note: it is always recommended to run at the manufacturers specified pressures when riding on the road for the bike and situation (some bikes will have a different pressure for carrying a pillion compared to riding solo). Information on the correct pressure can be found on the bike itself, in the user manual or online (make sure to use a reputable source when looking up specs online).
Also note that I am talking mostly about road riding in this video, pressures for off road riding can be lower depending on the type of terrain you are riding on but for most conditions it is not recommended to drop them more than a few psi. The exception is soft sand where you can drop lower but always pump them back up before moving to another terrain type or the road.
There will be some people out there who run different pressures on the road and swear it improves the ride etc. So if you are one of those people just remember that the manufacturers recommendations are proven to work safely for any rider. Any deviation from that is at your own risk and may work for you as an individual but not necessarily for everyone else.
