Wow! Just found this on line. I studied guitar with Ronnie in Boston. He used to call me and borrow my amp. When the blues musicians would show up in town from Chicago.
But you can't headline Jerry Portnoy the greatest band man over The great Ronnie Earl. Darrel Nullums although the singer was or hopefully is still the instrument himself.

I was at this show. I'd seen Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters previously had seen Roomful of Blues several times. It wasn't Jerry Portnoy top billing it was Ronnie Earl and the .... A harp player doesn't ever get top billing over Ronnie Earl. Daryl Nulloms the lead singer probably would get the top billing next. Maybe Portnoy is a god in the northeast and Providence RI. Earl and Portnoy did make a ultra COOL 😎 entrance from the street in Dupont Circle just before the show though.
Too much way too much musical talent for 1 band.see Jerry you the best muddy ever had and you the bes t.c guitarist roomful ever will have and go on levy yall are young like I used to be!!!!!!
Per Hanson, one of the BEST Blues Drummer's EVER!! I learned so much from him!
I was just gonna say the same thing
Per is always solid, no fluff, no extra "stuff." Just right where he needs to be.

Thanks Mark. Huge Ronnie fan from the Roomful days and of course the legendary Broadcasters.
I saw Ronnie with Roomful and after many times and I saw Tommy Castro with Roomful af😢
Joke of the title?? Back then it was Ronnie Earl and The Broadcasters featuring Jerry Portnoy. But I guess Jerry would like this title. LOL
Portnoy and Earl are smokin !!
Jerry Portnoy is superb. Clinic like.

Ronnie's playing at 1:48:32 is otherworldly.

Portnoy is a god whereever Muddy Waters took him - which was around the globe!
@@4orrcountry Jerry Portnoy is a bad bad mofo! Doesn’t matter who had top billing at this gig. Simply sensational blues performance.
Muito bom!
