@@TobinFitzthum Well like I said you should watch Five Easy Pieces, The Sweet Hereafter is also good, and with Jim Jarmusch he’s the type that many people can’t really agree on if he has a best film but I’d probably say Night on Earth, Down By Law didn’t do much for me but there’s definitely stuff to like about it. Also Asghar Farhadi’s About Elly is very good, best I’ve seen from him.
Nice review and overview of the director's work. Interesting analysis of the cultural and societal context of movies from particular directors. I find it remarkable how N@zis are portrayed in movies from the 1940's through the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, into the 2000's. It looks like the evolution of f@scists and n@zis have humanized them on the big screen. Almost too much so. Thanks for your review.
In my ignorant opinion that war was kinda the american lincon civil war but with more modern weapons of course were on diferent times, so this war give me som vibes like it was a training,warmup for germani and itali espaciali to try new weapons and som experimental stuff for the second world war(sorry for my english) its not my mother language
A very unknowed movie dat shows one of the baddest parts of spanish civil war my grandmothers were born on dat times and i only listen bad things of that war, ther are som movies of this conflict but not much really
Was kindda american civil war but of course on Spain so was on a more small country for say it like som way, and the weapons ass you can see were more like a mix of firts and second wolrd war guns, the national army("the winners") vs republican army the natinals have the suport of hitle* and musssolini so they send sport by the air and with weapons of course and maybe more thing, and then the republican side was with the suport in more little number of soviet union,america(not much really for wath listen) and som south of france armored groups and i read on som place dat mexico helped a little bit too espacil on logistic part to republicans of spain but at the end their armory was worst than the national army so in part thats why they lost the war i think, anyway i know dat nowbody really gives damn of this coment maybe but well it is wat it is one think that i know maybe from all this old bad stuf is dat in war ,nobody wins
