The live version has an extra verse and Jin plays the piano. It just hits different. But Jin co-wrote this song with big hit’s in house song writers. He talks about how they sent him the beat and over the next week he came up with about 30 possible melodies, which he discarded all but 3. Really there were only two that he liked and the 3rd was iffy, but that was the one that the big hit people liked and decided to go with, after which he also worked with them on lyrics.
I know I saw in a show RM wrote it too cuz they said RM wrote most the lyrics lol. So I think Jin and RM wrote it together. But dont quote this on this. But i saw this.

People say that you find BTS when you need the most. This song made me an ARMY. Diving deep in depression (lost job due the pandemic, bad relationship, putting everyone and everything first and forgetting myself).. this song saved me. I'll be always gratefull to these 07 talented, kind hearted, humble guys. 💜 💗
This is the BTS love yourself Anthem. It's an anthem. It's engraved in our soul. And Jin just owns this. Epiphany is jin and jin is epiphany. And he's the optimum example of "loving myself " not only he sang about loving myself, he learnt to love himself and tought us to love ourselves. For years since I was maybe 21 (I'm 27 now), I've been living life without a purpose. I spent all the money my dad gave me for useless shit. Eventually I found myself in a cage, constantly battling my regrets, for wasting time and money when I was so young and I could do so much more. One problem doubled and tripled into more and more problems. And I end up just living life in the present not bothering with the future and simply just escaping life by lying to myself and to other people. I kept up with the image I had when I was a teenager, the "good" kid, unable to accept that I fucked up my life. I was living in this loop and I was having such a hard time confronting myself and my problems. I was just afraid of disappointing my family at the same time. Then somehow I stumbled across BTS and THEIR MESSAGE. Slowly I saw hope in my life. It's not too late. Just seeing them live so passionately, I start to WANT TO LIVE A LIFE LIKE THAT TOO. But the only way out is to confront all of my problems NOW. DEAL WITH IT ALL.
I can't put into words how BTS healed me. They don't tell you quite literally to "be strong" (just like the lyrics for Magic Shop). Instead, they show you. They lead by example. I think for the first time I understand the true meaning of "inspiration", not because they're handsome or sexy. But because how they SURVIVED AND THRIVED literally motivates people to believe in themselves too. They teach you to fish instead of giving you fish.
I found passion back in doing the things I LOVE TO DO (art, dance, books), while at the same time pursuing my more concrete goals (law school). This made me happy at the same time, while still working hard for my career. Things got super easier.
It's true what ARMY says, "You don't find BTS, they find you instead, when you need them the most." Discovering BTS was quite accidental to me. It's not like I sought them, somehow they just walked in. The only thing I did is I let them in (being open minded).
Another thing ARMY says that is so true is, "The journey to BTS is a journey to yourself." It's true. BTS woke me up from my slumber. I am finally in control of my life AGAIN.
THIS SONG EPIPHANY, MAGIC SHOP, AND ZERO OCLOCK, are my go to songs in the morning before I start my day. The lyrics just speak to me. I have never cried over a song but listening to the lyrics of these songs just hit home to me.
It feels like talking to my Mom. I especially love Magic Shop's lyrics "I know that you're hesitating because even if you say the truth,
In the end it will all return as scars"
I was afraid of the scars indeed so I keep lying to myself and the people around me.
Not anymore. I feel like no matter how bad it gets, I can just listen to BTS and feel like HOME, like having a family, and a hug.
They literally CHANGED THE DIRECTION OF MY LIFE. And this only started last month. Imagine that. 6 years of my life I was just getting by, until discovering them only last month.

You should watch the live version...it's amazing and his voice is on point. This guy didn't sing or dance when he signed on to BTS. He was hired for his visual. His looks! HIs voice is so rich and soulful and he has a range that is unbelievable.

💗I love Jin. I love crackheads. I’m trying to love myself. So, you guys reacting to “Epiphany” was just what I needed. 💗
I’d like to simply say “I love myself”, but as you mentioned, it’s easier to express a desire than to actually turn it into an action; it’s equally difficult to stick to something long enough to experience the positive outcome from it.
To reiterate your point, It does feel like a loop when negativity takes over in life. We tend to either fight or give up to that repetitive raping of our well-being. But, something I’ve realized is, if I can consciously BE in that state, enough to evaluate the emotions or unfair circumstances involved, then I can learn to accept and forgive myself in it, too.
This process helped me to ease the negativity out. If the dreaded loop is infiltrated with love…little by little…the bad energy no longer has a place to dwell indefinitely. For me, personally, the changes took place over a couple of years, after I found BTS. (I consumed A LOT of content prior to this on positivity, self-acceptance, being the best you, yada, yada).
But, for some reason, BTS gifted to me this EPIPHANY to LOVE MYSELF. For example, I don’t ruminate over things unnecessarily. I don’t feel guilt if I re-prioritize my lists/goals. I don’t waste time dreading and procrastinating over things as much. I’m not so hard on myself, esp for making mistakes. And I allow myself much-needed mental breaks from my demanding work, disengaged people, social media, and my own thoughts, when needed.
I know these may seem like small things to some ppl, but they are steps that I’ve taken in an attempt to love myself more. It feels so nice to be in that never-ending loop of love. I never allowed that for myself before, because, to be honest, I didn’t really know what that meant.
When I discovered BTS, I truly opened myself up to the idea and it has also helped to have conversations with others. You never know when your words may help someone else to find or maintain love for themselves. So, thank you, guys, for your words & reaction tonight!

This realization of our own acceptance before everyone else's, which surfaces our mind introspectively in our lifetime is not acquired easily, and you have to work through to gradually make this self-love grow within yourself. This song embodies this mindset and feeling perfectly. I particularly agree with your interpretations and assumptions. This MV and song is actually the conclusion to the BU storyline (BTS UNIVERSE). You don't *have* to react to the BU but I would reallllly recommend it, since it's such an critical aspect of BTS's message and a journey that every army should make at least once. Everything will make sense once you see it for yourself.

Edit: 0:28 When you react to Jungkook‘s solo, I definitely recommend the live version of Euphoria from BTS Speak yourself tour (for example from the channel babykook with eng subs), because the live version is better and he flies 😁 On top of that, the MV is based on the storyline and hard to understand, if you are not invested in the BU (Bangtan Universe) or you can react to his solo My Time (my personal favorite and it tells more of his own story). It has no MV, so you have to watch lyric videos. Since Jungkook is such a great performer, I also recommend to watch the live from BTS MOTS ON:E concert (but sadly there are many cutted versions on youtube without his dance break).
It has a full version, you can check out in your free time.
You can see that he is doing the same thing again and again an again in the mv. Note the rain going backwards. Connect it together to understand the meaning because I don't want to spoil. It is related to BU which is the Bangtan Universe
This scene is can also be seen in Fake Love MV were Jin opening/closing the window curtains. Jin's character in SAVE ME webtoon/ Bangtan Universe story had gone through a lot, he tried to Save all of the members through time traveling so many times, he is so selfless.

You guys should check out one of the Epiphany live performances with eng subs bc this song has a longer version, the audio in the album. Jin's live performance to this is so powerful when he plays the piano and sings his heart out. Ethereal.

I 💗 your interpretation of this. It is also part of the BU, I don’t want to spoil it for you if you are going to delve into the universe so very short explanation. Jin can time travel to try and correct bad events for the boys, the rain flowing up shows the resetting of the time loop. I won’t say any more. BU starts with I Need U MV.

the thing is the entire 2nd verse was cut. same with interlude shadow. as for this mv, i'm so happy you picked up a meaning from it. it's true - an epiphany is a realization, not an instant change. and most times it could almost be melancholic when it happens. not always like "eureka!" haha this song is so meaningful to me. but also, it's tied to the bangtan universe (fictional storyline via mv of bts). and yessss, omg you got the LOOP! that's a huge catch. hahahahaha omg i'm so excited! a loop. holy! your brains are powerful! hahahaha
