It's very common for your bias to be a reflection of yourself
Jin commented that during a fan meet, he could hear J-Hopes fans meeting J-Hope and they were very loud and screaming and so was J-Hope and he compared it to Suga meeting his fans and they were very quiet in comparison
Mmm.. I’m a silent and calm person but I really love Jhope. My ultimate biases are the rapline. Maybe I just need a happy vibes opposite to my personality to bring sunshine to my life and that’s Hobi.😂😅

Actually, Jin wasn't that confident before, he's actually shy. So he said telling himself he is handsome or worldwide handsome it gives him confidence and he feels better ^^

Like myself, Jin is a true Sagittarius. Most of us are naturally shy and quiet individuals that are just great at adapting to our surroundings and the people in them. So, the more we’re around more outgoing, loud, confident, people, the more we begin to act the same. We’re also very humble and consequently, we can also be somewhat self-depreciating because we’re harder on ourselves than we are on others. A lot of times that manifests as not having the highest self esteem. So, the more people begin to give us praise, such as telling us how handsome/beautiful we are, the more we begin to believe it ourselves and actually own it. Idk, it’s hard to explain the ins and outs of how we’re hardwired to others that aren’t like us or have gone through the same things.🤷🏾♀️

I don't think it's the fact that they don't know English well that makes namjoon react like that. I think it's because he knows how they might come across to Americans. Interviews in Korea are very animated and interactive so the way bts are in interviews is kinda the norm there. However in America, interviews are more calm and they usually just stick to a question and answer format
True and I also think Namjoon is done with the nonsensical questions that infer them as kids made by the K companies, not ppl who take their music seriously

And in Korean specifically you would actually arrange the sentence structure as “Asparagus roasted I want” (아스파라거스 구이 싶어요)- Korean essentially has the complete opposite sentence structure compared to English

Edit: yeah, we get you're not trying to offend them or anything, but can't help but find humor in what namjoon has to deal with haha. not only their language barrier but the different personalities they bring out. But seriously kudos to our best leader, our president, kim namjoon for taking care of our boys esp during the English interviews. I can imagine how difficult it is.

it's even more interesting because in korean, the sentence would be literally in the following order "I asparagus roasted want", and you can see this phrasal construction logic sometimes when the members try to speak english (except from Namjoon)

RM may be the leader and the spokesperson when it comes to english interviews but when they are not working, he is like the baby of the group, everybody take care of him. It's just sweet

These guys are so funny and chaotic. As a person with English as a second language, I truly relate to them. Sometimes, I need to be more expressive with gestures to get the point across. Great reaction as usual.
The hardest part for me communicating in another language is that I have the bad habit of trying to translate what I want to say in my head. I recognize it with the boys often, although they're all different in how they communicate. Over time I've tried to learn to break that habit and development more mental flexibility & elasticity when trying to speak another language. It's very challenging. Personally, I think Jin has that ability to a really impressive degree - he's capable of using the words he's got to get his point across, rather than locking himself into a certain approach, and it works wonders.
I don't know if anyone else has already suggested it but I would love for you to react to the fan made documentary Rise of Bangtan and either before or after each chapter you could react to the songs played in the episode :)

One thing that makes them chaotic in an interview is when they get some stupid questions or the same question repeatedly asked in different interviews, they’ll get so bored that they’ll start messing around or giving silly answers. And for the most part because he’s the leader, RM will have to keep the interview on track. Sometimes though, even he’ll get fed up and start answering slightly sarcastically. Lol!

I only speak English and I tried to communicate with my Mother-In-Law. She only speaks Spanish so I started using sound effects and body motions when I tried to tell her something. The point is I tried. LOL
I’m Swedish. I learned English, Spanish, French and German. I totally understand them. My English is very good but put me in an interview trying to come up with something on the spot in like French, translate questions in my head and get them out of my mouth and I’m silent JK. You can know a foreign language fairly well but it’s really hard using it in an interactive situation.
U are so right about the language thing lol. Like I speak 6 languages and 3 of them I am perfectly fluent in. At least when it comes to communication and for example, English isn't my native language it's Czech, but because I've been learning English since I was 4 it's now like me second language almost. Like when I watch your videos, I don't have to think about what it means in my native language, because my brain already gives meaning to the words as it hears it. Like it's automatic

I think at 25:45 when you're talking about language ....so interesting. I actually think that you would say 'asparagus roasted I want' if you were saying it Korean. From what I am understanding the 'I or me' comes at the end of a sentence instead of at the beginning like in English....I think. Anyway, this was a really fun video, so glad I found it because watching it with you guys makes it even more enjoyable. thanks

Totally agree, I am australian and really wanted to learn german and korean. Now i can butcher the english language as i talk how i feel now how the language structure is SUPPOSE to be. So me trying to learn other languages is impossible as they would not understand. Why would i want to learn "I store go to or Store I go to instead of I go to the store. This putting things in order does my brain in....i want to say it how I want to say it........LOL

Oh i like how you guys are trying to understand bts! As a Korean i see many American reactors think that bts are very bad at english and see them like 5 years old children that need to be taught. Well, imagine Americans have to say only in Spanish! Koreans learn english in shool just like how Americans learn spanish! We learn alphabet, simple sentences and focus on reading skills! So i can say that members besides rm are definitely understand and bring up the right answer, but cannot say correctly in English. (Except unfamiliar sentences like end with prepositions.) In the interviews that V saying Panda Express, some members understood the question but didn’t know that Panda Express and in&out are launched at korea because that time was beginning of launching in Korea.
if you watch the behind scene, bts intentionally use easy and wrong grammar! Because American armys like their poor English and international-non-English speaking armys are watching their American interviews! So jin say ‘I can’t choice’ instead ‘I can’t choose’.
And I certain that bts make use of their foreign position to rude questions.
In ellen show, she asked “do you guys hook up with (pretty) armys?” Members understood that rude question (even V saying ‘not!’ ; V is the poorest English speaker in BTS) but i see rm intentionally pretended he didn’t understood the meaning of ‘hooked up’.
In interviews fishing for scandal, bts strategically make jokes with their poor English to avoid unpleasant situation. That’s why jin said ‘bread pitt’ multiple times to the Hollywood crush questions and ‘I don’t have think (to dating with American armys/celebrities)’ instead of ‘I don’t think about dating right now. I’m here to work.’
And yeah! Korean structures are different.

At this point in time besides RM, I believe Jin and Suga understood most of what was being said. Jin could actually read simple English for a while now probably because he lived in Australia when he was younger I heard. But expressing yourself in the language is difficult. I could understand and read french but don't have the confidence to speak it from my head.

Yea JK tend to buffer quite often you will notice it when you watch more interviews of them and I think it’s partly cuz of the language barrier And I think sometimes he just spaces out which is something I do often if I’m tired
Jhope is is the crazy type of funny, and Jin is funny with words. If I could explain. And the maknae line (jimin, V, Jk) are the goofy type of funny. In conclusion, they are all really hiliriours. But if I have to be fair enough we all know that Jin is the god of comedy.
And Yoongi is sometimes sarcastic funny... 😂
hobi is more physical comedy and jin (and yoongi) are more witty funny i think. maknae line are also physical comedy but less chaotic than hobi :)))) and joon is a bit of both (the way he carries himself can be funny sometimes but he is also witty)
Believe me if someone needs a permission slip to leave the country it should be RM. Mans loses his passport a lot 😭😭😭🤚

You guys need to put Namjoon being done with BTS’s English on your to do list. That is one of me favorites, and JHope… it’s a must watch. Also when Jin calls himself world wide handsome, it’s a joke. It just that he’s the only one in BTS that still thinks it’s funny.
P.S. Jinminkook being the funniest trio is also comedy gold. And Taehyung being the funniest member of BTS.
English is not my first language , but i'm learning ,still i'm not fluent in english , but i really appreciate BTS ,bc they never hesitate to talk in english in the front of camera or front of millions of ARMY..bc i never had guts to talk in broken english..but after watching BTS i also try my best , and whenever i try to speak in english i mostly used " u know" and "Ok".. Idk how many times i used these phrase or words..😂😂
And i didn't took any english learning classes ,i'm learning from BTS videos' subtitles ..
Other learn Korean for BTS ,i'm learning English for BTS ..😂😂

In 2017 I was working in London during BTS anniversary, and UK ARMY organised a party with different activities And for the quizz we were supposed to split into 8 groups, 7 for each bias and one for people who dont have a bias. And like surprisingly all 8 groups were evenly divided. I was of course in the Yoongi biased group and it was just soooo funny because you could clearly see how each group was different and deffinetly resembled their bias. We were all dressed in black even tho it was HOT, half of us brought sun cream and different sweets, and we were the most chill and calm one and we just enjoyed the cake. And of course we also won the quizz 🎉
It's 7:20 am here in Italy. What a great way to start the day guys. This video makes me feel more comfortable with myself, (speaking English) , if they can I can, I mean they're not afraid to make mistakes in front of millions of people, so I'm gonna try to be like them, be myself !!! 💜💜
