Hi is there special bleed procedure? I have 2017 peugeot 308 gt 2.0 hdi. Have replaced thernostat and waterpump. Hot air from heaters but after driving and come to stop heaters are very cold. A lot of pressure in bottle too. Have bled multiple times but same problem. Help please
You did what you wrote correctly and there shouldn't be any problems. However, there can be problems due to incorrect operation of the thermostat, or there is a possibility that it has two. It is possible that the system is clogged.? but we must not leave out the possibility that the problem could be with the head gasket, because you wrote that there is a lot of pressure in the water tank, but this is not certain. radiators can be cold due to lack of water in the system and there can be other causes. Improper operation of the cooling fan... We have also had such a case before. The fan started working after the water had already boiled and every time some water flowed out through the water pressure regulator or the cap of the water container. We replaced the Air blower regulation element and the problem was solved. Please check all these matters and I wish you a successful repair. If it doesn't work, send me the engine data or the chassis number... Best regards
@@MadMaxTheProducer many thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. So had another play today and seem to have a good result. So there is a bleed nipple on the thermostat and a return pipe on top of the radiator. I swapped the nipple to on top of the radiator and moved the return line to the thermostat. No more pressure in the bottle and heaters staying perfectly warm. So this could mean there is a small blockage at the radiator?
@@crz1364 Thanks for responding bud. I had a ETC error popping up randomly, so changed the thermostat housing as the ETC probe is built in, now stat opens but i then seem to lose heat heating in car and then the temp sensor starts moving randomly again more so when on a steep climb, im hoping its air lock but these things seem to be littered with horror stories of head gaskets and water pump fails.
Merci j’ai eu exactement le même problème j’ai changé le boîtier thermostat pour rien et finalement c’était bien la pompe à eau 👍🏽
I'm glad you resolved the situation. Greetings
