    The kettlebell is a good tool to use in your MMA workout plan. Here are 7 different exercises for you to use:
    1) Warmup - forearm circles
    2) Warmup - around the body circles
    3) Warmup - around the head circles
    4) Turkish getups
    5) Swings
    6) Snatch
    7) Overhead lunges
    If you've got a kettlebell, try these exercises out.

    nice setting and nice keetlle bell.. only thing I dont understand is where ws the first stage of the get up. Ive been doing them with a one arm press first for the last 5 years . Is that not in fashion anymore?

    hey Eric I like your programs and also like kattle bells is there any mma training program from you using kattlebells? or any you would recommend with mma in mind of course ,just for the sake of exercise variety to keep the training fun.

  • @PrecisionMovementCoach
    @PrecisionMovementCoach  14 років тому

    @shan0221 Depends on your goals dude and the weight of your KBell...
    If you want endurance, higher reps, shorter rest between sets, 2-4 sets should suffice...
    For strength/power, lower reps, like 4-8, 3-6 sets... longer rest like 1.5-3 mins b/t sets...

    man thats really a great place

  • @PrecisionMovementCoach

    Depends how strong you are - pick a weight that makes it challenging but you can still keep good form for all the reps you want to do...
    The one in my vid is 24 kg... That's light for the swings, but right for the getups - so it depends on what you're doing...

    How many sets/reps do you? Like say, 10 reps of each exercise with a 1 minute rest at the end x 3?

    @interspecificcompet
    Hey, if you're a young girl with no previous upper-body training, probably 8kg. If you're an adult woman and can do a few push-ups, you should be OK with 12kg. I recall that that's what Pavel recommends in his training book.

    Hey man, what weight for your kettlebell do you use?

  • @ruebuscm
    @ruebuscm 13 років тому

    @RunicAxe If you were training for a fight and you only trained technique you'd get tossed around with ease, man. I've heard the kettlebells are good for core strength to help with wrestling, so why not use them if you're keen to grapple? Bas Rutten recommends 'em.

    appreciate you putting together a video to help guys, but you really need to put some structure to this, starting out with turkish getup, then doing warmup.. is just confusing. running through the excercises too fast as well..
    State the repetitions and sets as you go, and don't switch from one excercises to the next so fast. Very difficult to learn anything for it.

    @mrdave777 obviously that was a joke... everyone knows you don't wear shoes when training with a kettlebell. One of the fastest ways to grind your knees to dust and roll an ankle is wearing running/tennis shoes when using a kettlebell.

  • @Derek4metopoopon
    @Derek4metopoopon 14 років тому

    it looks like 24 kg, turkish get ups are no joke man... start with a lighter bell. you don't want to get KOed by it...

    Its hard to find good kettlebell instructions, if you are really intersted in kettlebells get certified or look up big organizations. Not just a person showing "how to" on youtube.. I recommend WKC and Valery Fedorenko, his video is world class kettlebell sport lifting and he knows what he is talking about..
