I feel like this song could become a meme, if it got popular enough. I can totally imagine some gen z kid who probably has never even heard of this game prior to commenting saying something like "me and the boys vibing when we collect the first page" or something dumb like that. It's kinda sad when you think about it. That so many songs we like may have meme potential, but they'll never get to that status because people only really look to their feed for memes instead of actively looking for new ones.
i'm glad it's not a meme. it would make me a bit sad seeing people make jokes out of the theme song for a character i admire probably without bothering to check it out. i see it as a "making fun of" thing, even if it's not intentionally supposed to be that.

I had this play during a DnD session recently. for context, my character is a monk who recieved a message about the far realm taking over the material plane, but doesn't know who or what sent it to him. while everyone is busy building a town, he decides to make a rudimentary shrine out of some deer antlers and begins meditating, but instead of contacting a nature deity like he hoped, he instead got sucked into a forest in his mind, with the deer lord giving him directions on where to go. he wakes up, and knocks over the shrine, but immediately gets a rash on his arm. he tries to go to sleep for the night, but the deer is still in his head, scolding him for rejecting his help, and when my character tries to pray to an actual deity, it can't reach him and, there seems to be a root on his arm that's slowly growing. now my character needs to walk without sleeping to the nearest town for a cleric to get the demon out of him. TL;DR my DND character accidentally summoned the deer lord into his head and is being haunted, with deep-root disease on his arm, and has to walk to the nearest cleric for a cure
