As per my observation! Why the filter makes less sound & air bubbles after submerging more dipper in the aqwarium??? It's because of the more water load (Dense water)on the propeller of the pump which reduces the RPM/speed of the pump, this also cause load on the electric motor/power head of the pump, technically its not advisable to do so for long life of the pump. Good luck friends! This video is very informative. Thanks!

Some people were confused as to the difference between conduction & convection and some did not know how either one works when dealing with heat, especially in this case when we are talking about cooling, or technically I should say, heat removal. This water pump was designed with a motor that needs to be cooled via conduction. That's why he stresses keeping it submerged and well-covered in cool tank water. It's not being cooled via convection, and yes I had to explain it to a few of my old friends, along with a few other things like, there is no such a thing as cold. But never mind that now. As an old-school retired HVACR tech, let me say the engineer who designed this water pump was crafty enough to keep it as small, lightweight, and as powerful enough to do the job. The engineer also knows if you want to make something cooler or cold, there's only way to do that, remove the heat, in doing so there can only be one thing left over... "cold". So the engineer simply uses the water 💦 in the tank as what we call an ambient heat sink. This will draw/pull the heat away from the motor via conduction. The motor simply gives up its heat to the cooler ambient conditions of the tank water. Again, this is heat transfer via conduction, not convection. To have heat transfer via convection there must be some kind of fluid motion involved i.e. cool water "flowing over or through" it or a fan blowing cooler ambient air over it. Remember... Conduction is heat transfer by direct contact. Convection is heat transfer within the fluid motion. Also, Radiant heat is heat transfer without physical contact between objects. i.e. like the heat you feel from the sun or a campfire.

Hi, any help on the reason why sometimes the clear air tube you removed would also create water to come out of said pipe when it’s installed and causing tank to start emptying (soaking wet floor) regards
sometimes, the part on the filter where you connect you air tube is rotatable. See if you can rotate it 180 degrees and then try. (i assume if your air tube is throwing water out it is also not producing any bubbles as well)
@@gurribuy thank you so much for your help, I’ll try that when I get up there next(tv type wall hung) what I did for now was to take air bubble pipe completely off for now and due to the fact it’s completely submerged it’s not pumping out of the pipe onto the floor, thank you again.
yes, but if the filter is too big for your tank then it may be too powerful as well. IF your see that your fish are struggling to swim then maybe switch to a small filter
Hi. I see when you pushed the pump down further to reduce the noise, the lead was then submerged. Is this safe to put the electrical wire under water? Thanks
IF the wire is not broken or exposed then its fine. Another example is water cooler pumps. in water cooler pumps the wire is always submerged under water.
yes, you can but make sure the sponge is sitting closest to the filter fan. That is first add your own filter media and then put the remaining sponge on top of that.
Thats what I was looking for, should I cover the filter with water or not, but I have a question about the bubbles, I want the bubbles but its so little and when I covered the filter I lost even the small bubbles, how can I have bubbles like the one you have in the video?
if the water flow is too slow, its difficult for the filter to produce bubble. This can happen because of a dirty filter sponge, clean your filter sponge and see if the bubble improves. Also, if the air tube is not properly connected to the filter it can't produce bubble so make sure the tube is snug on the filter. I hope this helps, if it doesn't i really can't tell what is wrong with your filter without seeing it in person.,
Excellent review. ... Anyway, I"m getting one because I've had it with the old air pumps and poor filtration: and the hanging power-filters are too large for small tanks while not providing air.
I have same size filter as shown in video Additional i am going to use small/ medium sponge filter Tank size is 2×1×1 feet It is okey Fishes in tank are window tetra and tiger barb. Please answer
The video very clearly explains that one side of the tube will be connected to the filter and the other side should be outside water level. that is above water.
there is no perfect answer to your question. experiment with your tank see what works for your tank. I always have a sponge filter running in my tank. But, power filters, i usually turn them off at night. So that fish can rest in some calm water at night. Everything depends on your observation you will have to experiment with your tank and see what works for your tank.
Sir I have the same filter....sir can I remove the the pipe from the filter?....because there are number bubbles in my aquarium...and the water becoming cloudy
yes, you can remove the pipe. And feed a little less food if your water is cloudy. Also you can put a sponge filter to help with cloudiness. All the best with you tank.
My air pump stopped to release bubbles after running for 10 hrs. Then I have to take out and again put it inside it will work. this is how i am doing for every 10hrs. Why this is happening ? Any idea ?
As you go deeper the filter makes less bubbles because as we go deep inside water the water pressure increases which prevents more air to be sucked by the filter. Also, when the bubbles are formed they are very big, because of this most bubbles are not dissolved in the water. It is the bursting of the bubbles when they reach the top, that breaks the water surface tension and helps in exchange of gases which in turn oxygenate the water. So, even if you have one or two bubbles comming out, i think that should be enough.
Just 1 doubt, if you block the pipe outside with cloth, It wont suck air, but then it wont oxidize the water, so whats the point of having a 2in1 water filter and oxydiser?

if the water flow is too slow, its difficult for the filter to produce bubble.
I have same size filter as shown in video
Additional i am going to use small/ medium sponge filter
Tank size is 2×1×1 feet
It is okey
Fishes in tank are window tetra and tiger barb.
Please answer
Bro the tube is to put in outside right? Plz reply fast
The video very clearly explains that one side of the tube will be connected to the filter and the other side should be outside water level. that is above water.
sir my filter is aerating the surface even without air line tube
so do i need to use the tube?
If you don't want to use the tube then don't use it.
Do we need to run the pump all day?
I have 20 small fishes inside a 2 × 1ft tank. Please please reply
there is no perfect answer to your question.
experiment with your tank see what works for your tank.
All the best with you tank.
can I use this flowerhorn tank?
Is it necessary to have oxyen as well along with the filter?
it depends on your tank setup.
if your filter creates few bubbles then its not necessary.
Thank you for uploading this type of video. It helped me lot .
Thank you for your time and feedback.
A perfect video about aquarium filter! Good explanation! U had cold when u were doing this video..
My air pump stopped to release bubbles after running for 10 hrs. Then I have to take out and again put it inside it will work. this is how i am doing for every 10hrs. Why this is happening ? Any idea ?
It is okay to close that black thing where the air come from?
yes, its perfectly okay to close or completely remove the air tube from the filter. Its's just that it won't be producing any bubbles!
Finally, thanks for the infos!
Thank you. :)
Thank you!
But why deeper the filter make less bubbles?
And does less oxygen go inside to the water if I put the filter deeper?
As you go deeper the filter makes less bubbles because as we go deep inside water the water pressure increases which prevents more air to be sucked by the filter.
Also, when the bubbles are formed they are very big, because of this most bubbles are not dissolved in the water.
It is the bursting of the bubbles when they reach the top, that breaks the water surface tension and helps in exchange of gases which in turn oxygenate the water.
So, even if you have one or two bubbles comming out, i think that should be enough.
@@gurribuy thank you man
Just 1 doubt, if you block the pipe outside with cloth, It wont suck air, but then it wont oxidize the water, so whats the point of having a 2in1 water filter and oxydiser?
you don't have to do it.
many people don't like bubbles because they are loud at night and the tank does not look natural.
