"The art of the sword has a secret music, which can only be heard by those have it in their blood."
This video is dedicated to all the teachers I met during my martial journey, and to all my FB followers, a special thanks to my students that without their participation, this would not be possible .

I've picked up some slick footwork watching tape of Illustrisimo. Beautiful stuff. I love the HEMA/Kali cross training too.

Excellent clean techniques demonstrated from the Kalis illustrisimo system. I had trained for two years the the North American Bakbakan group and wish they were still around. If would definitely want to train with you if distance wasnt an issue.

Looks impressive! But are the sections with fencing masks really free sparring situations? It seems weird that one of the two guys never lands a hit.

Kalis Ilustrisimo was originally Ilustrisimo Escrima. SGT Leo Gaje petition them to use Kali back in the 80's. The top students agreed but then choose Kalis which refers to the "Blade of Ilustrisimo". It's a mixture of Spanish techniques, stuff developed by Christian Filipinos and Tausug Moro blade-work.
