Hey, thank you for loading this up.
But then again, loading this up with the time stamps, thats an act which deserves you to be called man of honour! So thank you again. Cthulhu fhtagn!
For the past few days, listening to this has helped my insomnia more than medication or meditation ever did
I guess you can say that you've become... the Great Dreamer.
You dont have insomnia if you dont sleep right?
To bad you wake up hearing colors and smelling shapes
I gotta recommend you check out Cryo Chamber Label, and Altrusian Grace Media.
Dark Ambient did me wonders for insomnia and fighting off nightmares too.
@@nagual1992 i love Cryo Chamber
This is great but as a Keeper I wish I could have it in playlist format, so that I could pick and choose which tracks. The ambience is great until it launches into the monster segments.
Reality, Time, Fate, or Dimensions?
I came here looking for Theme #10, cuz it's just so beautiful and it gets stuck in my head
I love the "Residence 1-2-3" tracks.
My favorite part of the game was the one in the Nameless Bookstore, this track really made the atmosphere palpable.
@@birgirkemuru2585 It would feel right at home with a bittersweet, somber ending to a story... perhaps after finally (reluctantly) letting go of someone you have lost, or achieving that victory you fought so hard for, but at a great cost.
Only reason I'm here.
Yeah, it's a pretty strong contrast to the other environments and for a good reason. Not just the music but also the lighting, which is bright, warm and simply feels safe. I guess it's the feeling of home and being in a safe space for a moment, away from the horrors beyond the doorstep.
This game was a gem that never got enough appreciation. I would like to see more Lovecraftian story games in the future, but seeing as it's not a mainstream thing it may not happen for a while.
Regardless, this game is amazing.
"What can live forever is not dead, and in strange aeons even death can die" is one of the most emblematic quotes from HP Lovecraft's work: it sums up all the laceration of the Providence writer, the impossibility of distinguishing between truth and illusion, the contradiction of all things, and a threatening darkness that comes from afar. A phrase that can also provide a first key to approach the actual video game: what are the "strange aeons" that Lovecraft was talking about? Who is ever able to live forever?
Without implying that it's mainstream, Lovecraftian horror/adventure games are getting a bit more attention these days. In the last five years I played The Sinking City, this Call Of Cthuluh game, Conarium, World Of Horror (Junji Ito meets Lovecraft pretty much), Moons Of Madness, The Land Of Pain, Darkest Dungeon or even something like Sunless Sea. We're getting there :D
@@sebastienmorin9020 you should play “layers of fear” and the amnesia trilogy - or watch them. I think you would really like them!
@@btkfc2367 Yeah I played both Layers Of Fear (the second one very recently), and the first two Amnesia (I love Frictional Games). I really enjoy the first Amnesia and kinda like A Machine For Pigs. Didn't play the last one yet. I already have a gigantic backlog of horror games that I'm trying to play like Call Of Cthuluh by Cyanide, Darkwood, The Evil Within etc. XD.
I bought it when it first released. I had to refund it. The overall structure is there. But at the time frustrating bugs and bad visuals killed my enjoyment. Which sucks cause I just want a good Lovecraft game.
15:34 - 16:32 I want this to be longer. I heard this soundtrack in a gameplay video and wow, does it sound badass.
This 💯. I think it builds from final #3 to #2 as you climb the rocks, or maybe another in the 'final' scene music. Music is so we'll done, and the implementation is brilliant.
Yeah, listen to final#6 then #3 then #1, I think that's the buildup as you climb then final rocks and see more and more crazy shit as the music gets more intense.
I love this soundtrack specifically this piece
I really love the soundtracks of this game, perfectly creepy!
mandalore brough me here too
Running a pen and paper rpg for Call of Cthulhu. This music will fit perfectly
The residence tracks are really pretty. Sat around in the Hawkins manor for a while listening to them.
Many thanks for uploading this, friend :)
Hospital 3 was what I was looking for. Pure lovecraftian atmosphere
It is a cardinal sin not to have this OST as a playlist available
the residence ost is so calming and reassuring bro idk what it is
Thank you, stranger 🖐
Final #6, #3, #1 in order, perfect
More people should play this game. My God it's one of the best story-based RPG I've ever played. It's original story-line may even match an actual work of Howard Lovecraft.
Minus the racism, so it might even be better.
@@Archon3960 lol
@@Archon3960 The guy was alive in the early 1900s. It should be no surprise that he held the views that most contemporary people did. Ragging on him specifically is just really really weird.
The lullaby seems to be "Night world of stars, shine upon sea. No one can see them, like you and me. I watch you sleep, you're dream so deep. See how they shine, on the true path." My ears might have it wrong, but that is a nice cosmic horror lullaby. Maybe the song in Azathoth's lair isn't too bad?
Hell yeah thank you dude !
Great . Perfectly for my Rpg tabletop games , thanks
Im looking for the song that plays in the very end scene where Pierce pulls the gun out on Sarah and the cult, the really suspenseful music.
I wanna know where that is too!
@@LassBisharp 22:49
Hey, is this all the music extracted from the game?
Is there a link where i can download it?
I rip game music myself, but its usually such a bother, i would appreciate it if you could just help me download it... :)
Thanks man 👍🏻
Really need this as a playlist or something
Thank you) Cthulhu Fhtagn!
Looking for the track that plays whenever Charles has a scene, you first hear it when you go through the door after it tells you how to run
36:20 "You we're trying to force the door you nosy prick!"
I love the I'll see you in my dreams remix thingy in Boston #1
Where is that lullaby that plays in chapter 9 in the endless? love that beautiful tune
I want to have a cosmic horror dnd playthrough with this as the atmosphere music
You should consider getting the Call of Cthulhu tabletop RPG
It's pretty easy to learn and it's got a more horror feel to it and players aren't OP
An awesome soundtrack for an awesome game!
Though I was wondering as I was listening to 1:00:00 ... what makes this kind of music scary/unsettling/unnerving to us as players?
It's the atmosphere that it's being presented in. Often times, the visuals of a medium and the audio, on their own, are either more impressive or less impactful on their own without the other present, but are typically both far more captivating when used together. In this case of this sound track, more often than not, you are hearing this music as subtle notes over the game play and your mind is currently reeling from recent events and trying to figure out what comes next in a bout of predictive thinking and survivalism. These feelings we feel are amplified by an appropriate and well crafted sound track that we're usually only barely registering in our active thought, it's just something on the edge of our other senses filling the quiet while our brains piece everything together. These combined stimuli create the sensations the media developers want us to experience, if done right, or are obnoxious and ruin the mood if done wrong.
Try watching Star Wars without the audio, it just feels stiff and awkward. Try listening to this sound track without the game, its impressive and immersive but not terribly creepy or unnerving on its own. The same can be said for audio effects. In a horror movie or game, if the audio of character jumps at something it's sudden movement that startles us but then we're fine. If the medium doesn't draw specific attention to something that's supposed to be disturbing or scary, but just lets us as the observers experience it on our own, it becomes that much more impactful because suddenly we're not sure of what we saw or if we indeed saw anything at all. In some instances, a lack of audio is far more dreadful to experience than disturbing audio while other times it just makes things awkward.
I know I got off on a bit of a tangent there, but hopefully that answers your question.
@@trevorburke8660 it's part of why one of the best ways to escape the worst parts of a horror movie (especially if you're squeamish about certain things) is to distract either your eyes or your ears to create that dissonance
21:20 is my favorite part
eerie and unworldly just how i like my tentacle horror gaems
Does anybody know what version of *_I'll See You in My Dreams_* is being played at the beginning of the game in Pierce's office in Boston?
EDIT: Isham Jones' version from 1924.
I found it!!!!
Preview to Madness (Lullaby)
Been looking for that one too. It’s a banger!
34:09 I just loved hearing this while sneaking around the hospital
Looking for the track that plays the music from the endless corridor at Riverside that includes the woman singing. Soooo eerie yet beautiful.
it’s the one i’m also looking for! please let me know if you’ve found it!
@@yoosungtobio Only luck I've had is fast forwarding through people's playthrough to hear it again-lol
@@wolfmanjack007 oooh i see haha. probably it's also just available only in the game. but thanks for response :)
@@awamaya thank you
@@awamayamany thanks!!
Nice! Would it be possible to package up the original audio files from this video and put them to mega or google drive for download? Thanks!
11:18 is there anywhere I can find this song by itself?
im looking for the music in the chapter 7 in the librery
Where’s the song we’re Charles comes down the elevator
Sad, I can't find anywhere the sweet music that we hear in the nameless bookstore :(
How did you get these and is there some place we can find all the tracks separately?
He exctracted it himself
where is the music of the librery?
What song is playing when half squid Charles hawkins tries to choke Sarah in the boiler room?
31:57 Davi Orgulhoso de morte (boss casa vila) Transformação Davi Orgulhoso, 38:32
20:13 is the best one
Anyone knows the name of music when you open "Journal"
Which one is the one where Cthulu awakens and the cult was killing eachother?
This cant be all there is. I'm looking for a song when Pierce is in the riverside institute and the hallway he's in goes on 'forever' and a woman begins to sing. Anyone know where I can find this?
@Günneeeyy cheers. im a scatter brain...
Does anyone have access to the sea shanty? It’d be great addition even if it’s not a music file.
I always think to myself "What would Edward Pierce do?" And i listen to this
Anyone know the sailor song sung at 11:18?
It's the song about the miraculous fishing, in the lore of the game
Wings of a goney is the actual song
Where is the main menu music cause the one in 57:57 ain't it
Residence 1 👌🏿
Please upload individual songs
Soundtrack from French composer (of German descent) Markus Schmidt

This song is why I'm here! Thanks for pointing it out! It's so peaceful and made me want to drift into sleep.

What about the theme when the boi with the tentacle arm chases U / The Husband .
Charles Hawkins? Im not sure hopefully you found it by now
Residence is the best in my opinion
Esperaba escuchar a Metallica - Call Of Cthulhu ktulu
Guys, how's the game compared to The Sinking City (which I really enjoyed tbh) ?
I loved The Sinking City.
This game:
Is way less free roam (pretty much level by level). Way less combat (certain scenes have a little, like prompts and stuff).
And the detective part is more point and click, whereas Sinking City actually had some real feel detective stuff in it.
BUT, Story and Atmosphere are really good.
One nice difference, The Sinking City had a bit of a comic quirk to it. This game takes things a bit more seriously.
@@PlayNiceFolks To be fair, I didn't enjoy the combat of the Sinking City, so I wouldn't mind a more immersive game that doesn't rely too much on combat mechanic (which TSC didn't do, mind you, but it felt like they wanted to appeal to a broader range by making shooty phases.)
Thanks for the response, man. Appreciate it.
Dude, just imagine if they paid a tribute to a huge fan - Cliff Burton - and snuck Metallica’s The Call Of Ktulu here somewhere!
Well, it must be expensive to play in a game though...
I found the gameplay to be a little disappointing, but the music and atmosphere were on point
And not call of ktulu-Metallica? 😔
21:43
34:00
final scene was the only good part
why is there talking?
Dark Corners has personality.
This is just ambience on a loop.
Another game that thinks "Lovecraftian" means green filter and tentacles... What a fucking disappointment...
