one of the best fishermans on the world! I love this guy so much! So simple explanations, no complications, right on spot! I love Darel Peck also, but he somethimes complicate things with rigs and thoughts :D This guy, absolute perfect!
A truly well-presented video and clearly detailed, along with the maximum aid to helping anglers in having better days on the bank. Mainline Baits Carp Fishing TV is smashing it.
Fished a venue last week for 3 days, the weed made this lake look weed free. It was horrendous, it was like cabbages all through the lake. Huge leaves were visible all under the surface. If you managed to find a clear spot (fortunate is the right word) then you got caught up in the massively thick stems and parasol sized leaves on the retrieve. Which reminds me, I need to order some new leads to replace the ones i lost. Cracking vid though Rob. N1
great video..... I'm new to carp fishing. learning loads. do people lose leads frequently tho? makes sense but I just assumed we dont wanna leave stuff in the lake we fish in. might be stupid question but I'm quite the newbie atm.
No, as the lead is set to release upon hooking a fish to give a much better chance of landing it, but won't release if you are just retrieving your rig etc.
Great vid buddy for explaining about weed and feeling the lead down 😁😁😁 I do it naturally but there are so many I see that don't. It's not that they dont want to learn its just people dont explain or show in as simple terms as possible for people to understand 👍👍👍people shy away from weedy lakes but like you say it's all about fi doing those spots 😁😁😁👍👍👊👊
Yep, gently feather the line with your finger as the lead approaches the target, then trap the line with finger as the lead hits the water so you can feel it down to the lakebed on a tight line.
Bounce the lead through the weed until it comes clear? Wish it was that easy and quick. All that happens when i do it is the lead clogs with weed and i have to reel it in and remove it all and re-cast.

Top angler top advise especially bouncing in and out of the weed to feel for the drop 👍🏻
Great 👌 and very easy to remember will give it a try
No probs - good luck!
Great vlog. Very informative. Korda heli safe was an amazing unrivalled method of safe fishing and dropping the led. Still the best imho to this day.
LEE barker thanks Lee 👍

What about when fishing a very silty, shallow lake where I struggle to get a drop even if it's clear?
Brilliant Viewing
Thanks AG!
Excellent video. Very informative. Out of interest do you provide private tutorials?
Thanks, and yes Rob provides free coaching on day ticket venues around the country - contact him via social media for details.
Hi rob I have a question for you I have quite a bit of shock leader left over from my spod rod could I use the shock leader to make rigs with ??
Hi I’m new to fishing, can I ask are you just using your finger at the point of lead to water impact to tighten the line.
Yep, to stop the line leaving the spool.
Nice movie .
Glad you liked it!
Hi thanks how are you keeping that line tight before the lead hits the water are you keeping it tight with your finger?
Yep, gently feather the line with your finger as the lead approaches the target, then trap the line with finger as the lead hits the water so you can feel it down to the lakebed on a tight line.
Can't wait to try these tips out, great one again guys x
Thanks Gerry! Glad you like them!

I’m coming to collect my free rods- are they still available yeah?
Hello guys, i m from Romania, from where can i buy some smart liquid and some smart cell? I can’t find anywhere! Thx a lot!
great tips but you have to remember to be clipped up and use distance sticks, How else can you land on the same spot ?
Mark your line with elastic or white line marker !!
Hi, yep for sure and you'll see Rob was doing this.
Another good way if you're not a fan of distance sticks.
2 banksticks do same elec tape as a marker orpole elastic or even dedicated marker braid u can be carp taxed for
Topman!
Glad you enjoyed this!
Hi could you tell me what reels you are using thanks

What makes an angler pro apart from sponsors as half the UK gotta be pro now 😂😂
What type of spomb is that? New Korda prototype?
Think it was a spider spomb think their Italian
Thats right.
Do you skate Rob? that tell tale hole in your trainer from a cracking ollie...
He probs wishes he could , but no he doesn't.
Bounce the lead through the weed until it comes clear? Wish it was that easy and quick. All that happens when i do it is the lead clogs with weed and i have to reel it in and remove it all and re-cast.
Sometimes thats the case - using a really light lead can help with Rob's technique here.
Quick & easy
Hi. Can anyone tell me do u have to buy a "marker rod" or can I use an old 2.5tc rod that sits in my shed?.
You could, but it’s best to use a 5 lb test curve. Heavier lead and distance too.
@@numbnutz7832 OK mate cheers

Should be called how to fish on gravel next to weed
Tip no1 do not fishing in weed ;-)
Yep - Not if you can help it.
Lol...that's not a weedy lake.
Hahahaha that aint weedy !!!
A lot of talk for a man who can't catch anything
So...........A lesson on how to avoid weed rather than fishing ...”IN WEED”. This stuff is learned when you are five or six !!!!!
Sorry you didn't find this helpful David, as a lot of ours views did - thanks for watching, hopefully you'll enjoy the next video more.
Seems that David found out how to fish in weed and at five or six but missed the lesson on manners
