When you vote on the standard day of Nov 5th, everyone has a polling location they are registered to vote at. You can't go anywhere else unless you want to cast a provisional ballot. For early voting, there are usually a 1-2 locations, in each city, where everyone can go and as long as you are a registered voter, able to show the required proof, they'll find you in the system and allow you to cast your vote normally.

@sandraconnelly7507: the reason the intimating voting laws are ineffective in NC is due to the state having a Democratic governor; under the last Republican governor and the state's house and senate control, he made it very difficult to vote for Blacks and college students. Pure fact!
Being that you brought up voter intimidation laws in NC, this led me to pivot back to a reminder of the sordid history of NC towards Black Americans. Heck, it hasn't been that long ago as I myself lived through Jim Crowe laws--the first 12 years of my life in fact; I'm from the one of the southeastern states which was the last state in the union to repeal Jim Crowe laws. Nevertheless, I have a deep-seated hunch that you're some of the many white people wishing for those days to return, am I correct in saying that? Come on, be frank with us when you respond!

Of course you didn’t articulate yourself very well so you said voting intimidation laws which implies there’s laws against voter intimidation, but I think I know what you’re saying. You’re saying voting disenfranchisement. And actions where they’re literally targeting people who have been told they are allowed to vote but they were not allowed to vote, so when they submit an application instead of just having it rejected the cops are sent out to arrest the person. That’s even if the government officials told them they are allowed to submit an application. There’s many other examples too. If I’m understanding you correctly, and correct me if I’m wrong, then you would be saying the exact opposite of what you’re saying now in blue states or swing states were sending cops to interrogate people who signed Petitions against the current Democratic governor, and that’s what’s happening in mini red states. We’re sending threatening letters to new stations telling them not to run political ads in favor of ballot measures that are primarily supported by Democrats. If it was primarily being supported by Republicans in blue states were targeting the new stations, something tells me you would have a different view of voter intimidation.
I often feel homeless because there’s a bunch of right wing loons and left-wing loonies. Often times you all are just the opposite side of the exact same coin but you don’t see it. In North Carolina, the GOP controls both houses of the State’s Congress, so if anyone does not like how the election laws are handled there, take it up with the GOP state legislators.
