    Love this calm, thoughtful host - nice contrast to all the Miranda vids I watch, who I also love! 😁 Bummed about that yakima rear rack, as are a lot of folks in your Q&A when you featured it recently; they should have made it reversible for those of us who prefer it to swing left and more clearance for spare tire 🙁

    I started watching at Episode 4... I car/truck camped for vacations for years in 2,000 to 3,000 mile loops in the Pacific Northwest... Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming... different routes and different themes... started out in a 1980 Honda Civic until about 1996 when I got a Ford truck and added a canopy and Yakima roof top carriers (one was off the Honda)... added a couple bunks and camping gear over time until about 2011... the Ford I still have ('69 F250) ... currently playing with some add-ons, like power station with solar panels... fridge/freezer I am testing at home outside now... solar cookers... fixed chicken thighs and brownies today...I tend to have tarps I can add for shade... Ashland Oregon camp ground can get hot while waiting to do Shakespeare plays...everything had to be set up for ease of set up/take down and re-setting up after the plays in the dark...
    Some of my toys... Goal Zero 1500x and 500x...I am leaning toward my Nomad panels for ease of setting up my portable solar farm... added a Nomad 100, a 20, and another Nomad 50 panel... Pacific Northwest... overcast takes a few more panels... in connectable Goal Zero Nomad panels i now have 4 (50 watt), 1 (100 watt), a new 20 watt and an older 28 watt Nomad for a total of 348 watts that I can hook to the 1500x power station... had to order the connectors from Goal Zero... not real cheap to get but they make networking panels easier... been using the 500x power station with the 100 and 20 watt panels... And I have left them out in rain, watched them in overcast weather. the weather proof power connections are a really good idea.
    I am a bit curious about your power source in the desert during your trip... powering fridge, cameras, laptops or tablets and phones... with enough solar panels for your 1500x power station... a few hours of clear sky sun might do the trick depending on how big you make your solar panel array.

      @user-sx4yu3nw4j 3 роки тому +2

      Google is your friend. The Bronco gets 380 miles per tank with highway driving, so it’s a pretty safe bet it can do >200 on a gravel road.
