This week I read Charlotte Wood's latest, Stoneyard Devotional. And loved it, the best book by her I've read so far (I've read 3 previous works I think). Is it ok to ask "have you read it" questions if it's an Australian book that I'm pretty sure hasn't been released in the US yet? I've nearly finished Marguerite Duras' The Lover. Oh dear, I'm not loving it, and don't feel it has aged all that well. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on it, and if you've reread it even somewhat recently, how you felt it had fared with the passage of 40 years.
I had no idea what you were talking about, and then I went to the time-stamp - Good Gawd! If this is going to happen every time I express even mild disapproval of something, this channel is going to be covered in cartoon thumbs!
‘The one UA-cam channel’
I think I’ll wait until after the election to read Kafka.
“Thoughts and prayers” that you'll still be allowed to read books at that point. Go Team Blue!
@@mdavidmullins Indeed!

@@saintdonoghue Hahaha!
And yet another reason why I don't read any pastiche post de Camp! Good stuff Steve! (To Reign in Hell, I'm going to have to track that one down!)
I've been going back on forth over whether or not I should buy To Overthrow the World.
Shall I send it to you? And ... shall you review it?
@@saintdonoghue I'm going to reread the excerpt on Amazon and email you if I do want it.
BUTB.....yes, please!!
Have you read Garth Marenghi’s TerrorTome? It'll make your skin crawl.
I know writers who use subtext, and they're all cowards.
