I'm from Chicago, born and raised. All the senseless violence you see in the media, I was so accustomed to it that I thought it was normal everywhere until I moved into a small blue-collar conservative city (predominantly white) in Georgia. I never heard a gunshot in the 7 years I was in this town except for July 4th. The crazy thing is everybody owned a firearm practically, especially in the South; you would think there would be more gun violence in the area. I drove a reasonably nice car; nobody ever broke into it until I parked in Atlanta. I felt more safe in this town. I left that south-side Chicago mentality right where it was. Never had any problems with neighbors or the community the entire time I was there.

I worked with a very nice young man in 2004 in Florida, him and his family moved from Chicago to Florida, he told me they left because of the crime, they didn’t want to be part of it, so they left. The stories he told me is unbelievable, how much crime and that was then.

That’s why they like to be in leadership only to benefit and no accountability. Chicago streets in downtown only one quarter of mile is 2 years in construction. Many of those quarters in every part of downtown that makes the traffic very congested, while this beautiful city built by hardworking previous generations we in Chicago make it harder for turists.

I live in a smaller Kentucky town, and (for reasons I don't know) there are a LOT of black people here. No shootings, no unchecked rampant theft, no counters in the local newspaper for how many were murdered in the past week.
The difference is CULTURE, and the people would not ALLOW the kind of "culture" that's destroying every one of our big (democrat-run) cities. If you pull a gun on a gas station clerk here, it's a GUARANTEE that somebody nearby will either be carrying or at least try to intervene.

I’m not American so I will tread carefully. When we seperate people by race, religion and beliefs we run into problems. What happened to just saying we are Americans. Then we fight for all Americans to raise the standards of all Americans. 17 Americans were killed, and 89 Americans were injured. We have to stop killing ourselves. We need policy and programs that impact all Americans for a better outcome. Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. The NBL and NFL are a great example. A team wins when the team has a common goal that all are working together to achieve. This is not just an American problem it is a world wide issue.
