U format via diskpart to what file system? ntfs, fat32?

Whi didn't you enlarge sdb4 to the whole drive? Also why did you left 24MiB at the end of the sdb6? BTW you can drag the black arrows to resize the partition instead of numeric input.

Is VMWare Workstation mandatory to resize the USB drive? Or are there alternative ways to enlarge the drive?
