Great job of using tile adhesive and grout. I have been saving bottle caps for years to do a bar top. Can't wait and this is by far the nicest looking finished top I've seen. Thanks for the tutorial!
I’ve made about 20 cap tables and experience has taught me get your caps ready and to work fast - and fix them on top of a very thin layer of you poxy resin! Leave to cure overnight - then pour more resin to your desired depth to cover caps. No grout - and you see bits of the table - assuming it’s nice around the caps
Probably the best bottle top table I’ve seen. Some ace caps. Don’t get many like that in the UK! Looking to do this myself, how many (roughly) caps did you use?
Thanks you so much. I am not sure on the amount, but the wife bought two bags off of Amazon. I wish I would have asked her how many and now she does not remember. Thanks so much for watching and good luck with your build.
I don't know, that is just the way it dried. Looked cool, but don't know if I can do it again. I guess just put it on thick and leave it alone. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Cool table, I would have prep the area better to be honest, especially the over spil....maybe a barrier stop boarder out of thin wrap ply then your PVC could have sat nicely over the resin without any extra work sanding or grinding the apoxy resin? I'm in the process or collecting specific bottle caps for my project, table is going to be an old wooden cable drum, 👍
I think we got a way with just one gallon of epoxy, if I remember correctly. May want to buy two just in case and take #2 back if not needed. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Hi, Why do you need to grout ? I'm preparing a similar project but my table is made of nice wood so I'll glue each caps. So I'm thinking not to add grout to see wood in between caps.
There has to be other things that would work better, but I can't think of anything off the top of my head. I just walked around the hardware store to find what I used. Good luck and thanks for watching.
I am not sure, but it was about 4 feet in diameter and the wife order two bags of caps, but I don't know how many were in each bag. I hope this helps and thanks for watching.
The wife bought it, she thinks she just searched on Amazon and found it. They also sell a floor epoxy at home depot that we used on our countertops. I worked great on the countertops. Good luck and thanks for watching.
It is on my list, but I am working on trailer from truck bed #2, pontoon boat #2, pallet projects, just got 11 atv tires to put on the mowers, etc... I will get to the deere. Thanks for watching.

Cool project wonder how much heavier table got.
Good question, you can tell it is heavier, but it is not that bad. the epoxy was only 1/8 thick on the caps. Thanks for watching.
How did you get the weathered look in the grout? Looks all scratched. Looks great! This looks like a great way to not have to buy the deep pour epoxy
I don't know, that is just the way it dried. Looked cool, but don't know if I can do it again. I guess just put it on thick and leave it alone. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Hola, me gustó mucho tu mesita , una pregunta, Con que pego las tapitas a la mesa?

Hi great video, how did you clean up the over-spill epoxy?
We had a tarp covering the floor, clean up was not bad. thanks for watching.

Hi, realy nice table!
How much epoxy resin did you need?
I think we got a way with just one gallon of epoxy, if I remember correctly. May want to buy two just in case and take #2 back if not needed. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Okay thanks! And did you let the grout dry before you removed it from the caps or just straight after your put it on?
Did you have to do any sanding to make the epoxy shine
Not a bit, dried that way. Good luck and thanks for watching!!
I like it,..would make great patio furniture?
Yes it would and thanks for watching.
Cool 😎 cool 😎👍👍
Thanks so much again and thanks for watching.
Hi, Why do you need to grout ? I'm preparing a similar project but my table is made of nice wood so I'll glue each caps. So I'm thinking not to add grout to see wood in between caps.

Where did you get the flexible trim for the edging
That was a home depot piece, but I don't remember what is was for. I just walked around the store until it caught my eye. thanks for watching.
Do you think this would work on a glass table?
I think so and thanks for watchiung.
Is there any other edging you would suggest - bendable for a round table?
There has to be other things that would work better, but I can't think of anything off the top of my head. I just walked around the hardware store to find what I used. Good luck and thanks for watching.
I'm done with gluing the bottle caps down....now drying! On to grout next.....then epoxy!! But still need information on the edging!! ;-)
Cheryl Hoffman did you ever decide on edging? That’s what I’m unsure of what to use. I have everything else I need. Thanks
Wow I think it looks great
Im thinking of doing this on a beer pong Table but where did you get so manny different bottle caps
The wife ordered two bags off of Amazon. Thanks for watching.
What was the size of your table and how many caps did you use? This is awesome!!
I am not sure, but it was about 4 feet in diameter and the wife order two bags of caps, but I don't know how many were in each bag. I hope this helps and thanks for watching.
What is that edging called or normaly used for
I don't remember, I found it at home depot, it is flexible trim. Thanks for watching.
Did you leave the grout to dry first or did you start wiping it off straight away
I started wiping before it was completely dry, just don't wipe too hard. thanks for watching.
Hello! What a great job you have done! May I ask you a question? What did you use to glue the caps on the table? I couldnt get it!
That was ceramic tile glue. I hope that helps and thanks for watching.
How much epoxy resin did you buy ?
I think it was two gallons and thanks for watching.

Do you have a link to the website where you bought the epoxy from? Cool vid btw
The wife bought it, she thinks she just searched on Amazon and found it. They also sell a floor epoxy at home depot that we used on our countertops. I worked great on the countertops. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Y con que rellenos los espacios que quedaron entre las tapitas ?
I think that was tile grout too, thanks for watching.
Did you use sanded or unsanded grout? Thanks!
I used unsanded. I would think either would work, but un would be better. thanks for watching.
Nice video man, could you tell me what the diameter of the tabel is?
It was about 4 feet across, thanks for watching.
You should have a clean float clean all the excess grout off of the bottle caps
Yeah, I didn't clean mine after the bathroom tile project, too lazy to get another... thanks for watching.
Looks like he was just using what he had around🤷🏻♂️
What’s the name of the edge trim you used and where did you buy it? Just finished the grout on our bottle cap table! Yours looks awesome
I don't know it was in the trim, but it is not made of wood and it flexible. Good luck and thanks for watching.
What did you use as the trim?
I was a trim that look like wood, but was really a flexible plastic type of trim... I hope this helps and thanks for watching.
Any idea how many bottle tops you used?
I am not sure, it was two bags, but I don't know how many were in each bag... thanks for watching.
