  • In this video Dr. J describes how to process GNSS data from the Emlid Reach RS2.
Static processing can be done using the Canadian Spatial Reference System processing website: webapp.csrs-scrs.nrcan-rncan....
The Emlid Reach RS2 is a great affordable GNSS receiver, which is especially good to use with students, as it has a simple user interface (a smartphone app). The RS2+ is the current version available: emlid.com/reachrs2plus/

So if I don't have a known point, could I use static observations and ppk to get a known point. Then, setup the base station on that known point I created, then configure the base and rover to rtk, and then use the rover to place gcps, and then use emlid studio to correct the gcps and then use that data to create accurate maps and models?

Yes indeed! You can actually do it all in one step by simply post-processing the static observations as the PPK base station. You can do that by sending the RINEX file to the CSRS for static processing and then inputting those coordinates into Emlid Studio.
