In this video Dr. J describes how to process GNSS data from the Emlid Reach RS2. Static processing can be done using the Canadian Spatial Reference System processing website: webapp.csrs-scrs.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/geod/tools-outils/ppp.php The Emlid Reach RS2 is a great affordable GNSS receiver, which is especially good to use with students, as it has a simple user interface (a smartphone app). Thank you so much. That was so useful.
is this processing for observations made in Canada or anywhere else
Can be anywhere!
Thank you !
You're welcome!
Thank you for providing this lecture. It helps me to understand GNSS products.
Glad to hear that
thanks for the video!!!
😍🥰
Thanks man
The fact that the FAA is intentionally ambiguous about terminology and exact circumstances pertaining to the issue of flyingnover people shows they either 1) don't want anyone flying over people 2) are intentionally gate keeping 3) Are attempting to make money or influence the industry through compliance waivers 4) Are an inefficient bureaucratic entity - these conclusions aren't mutually exclusive though. They haven't approved any drones for cat 2 or 4 and have only 1 for cat 3 which is fixed wing and costs a gazillion dollars
Excellent introduction, would you mind if I use for a Computer Science class? We teach algorithms for solving equations in class.
So if I don't have a known point, could I use static observations and ppk to get a known point. Then, setup the base station on that known point I created, then configure the base and rover to rtk, and then use the rover to place gcps, and then use emlid studio to correct the gcps and then use that data to create accurate maps and models?
Yes indeed! You can actually do it all in one step by simply post-processing the static observations as the PPK base station. You can do that by sending the RINEX file to the CSRS for static processing and then inputting those coordinates into Emlid Studio.
Really cool presentation :)
Thank you very much!
great video, wish you did the substitution of lambda back into the formula
Jeremy, Thanks for the help. Your channel was the only thing I could find with regards to risk management and detailed weather explanations. Took my 107 today and got an 88. Thanks again!
Great to hear!
Hello doctor, I urgently need your help on a very important matter. Can you help me and teach me? No one is helping me, please..
amazing video, good luck, im physicist too, student
Good summary. Wish you would’ve left the cold front diagram up a little bit longer.
Very helpful and explained well thank you
Anyone needing to do coordinate system conversions you can do so here geodesy.noaa.gov/NCAT/ if you have a file with many entries you can choose the Multipoint option and upload a comma separate file. Tab sep prob works too.
Is it possible to use projected coordinates at all?
Hi @mikariekki5708, I believe that WebODM will always use the closest UTM CRS to georeference a dataset, and the GCP file is also internally projected to UTM during computation. See community.opendronemap.org/t/coordinate-reference-system-and-gcp/4486
@@jeremymaurer9554 Thx, didn't know what proj string etc meant and EPSG: 3879 didn't work. Found out later that I could get the correct coordinate definition in the old string format from ie. QGIS, and that worked. I wish the plugin would filter relevant photos by gps. Only used WebODM and GCP's in one mapping mission so far now. Before that I used Recap Photo for other projects where a surveyor took the GCP's. That was a more streamlined experience, but but both need the coordinates given in a precisely correct format. Ie. Recap Photo doesn't accept commas and uses points since its US based, and WebODM the other way around, also need to flip the X and Y coordinates for both programs. And WebODM doesn't accept tabs, but uses space instead. :/
Olá tudo bem? Sou iniciante, voçe sugere alguma literatura?
Sorry to bug you.. Please in wenners array.. what do you plot resistivity again.. Like how do you do it.. I'd appreciate if you could plot one in a video
Nice quick succinct lecture ! Thank you.
What's the point?
Thank you!
Super clear, thank you so much for this video!!
Consider two reflectors between two layers. In the first case, the velocity of the upper layer is 2.75 km/s and the velocity of the lower layer is 5.5 km/s. In the second case, the velocity of the upper layer is 3.50 km/s, while that of the lower layer is 4.85 km/s. If a ray travels downward through the top layer at an angle of incidence of 25o in each case, which of the scenarios will result in a larger angle of refraction?

woohoo~ what a superb ,so long. Jeremy.
Hello, thanks for your explication, I was wondering if in this package there are others types of interpolation? For example IDW, natural neigboor...
This package only has kriging interpolation.
thanks, everything is very clear
Thanks for caring to share your wisdom.
thank you so much!!
ERT can be used to detect groundwater because saturated soil will have a lower resistivity than unsaturated. It is often possible to map out the water table using ERT, if your depth penetration is enough.
This is "An Introduction to Applied and Environmental Geophysics" by John Reynolds.
can you share the code pls? :)
Thank you for the vidoe. Sir Do u mind me asking which book u refer to ? please..
This is going to a textbook by John Reynolds, "An Introduction to Applied and Environmental Geophysics"
There is no Explore button on Google Sheets anymore
Option - shift - x
How can i use ERT to assess ground water system using transects
Thank you for the demonstration. I have been following the same kind of procedure but I keep getting the same error zero size array. I have followed instructions from the Pykrige page but it does not work. I am not sure what the problem is.
Why you don't give an example???😢😢😢😢
There is an example of ordinary kriging in Python given in a different video: ua-cam.com/video/dcDQCarn6qg/v-deo.html&lc=Ugwi4RsLuAbbzx422Gp4AaABAg
Very clear and informative. Thanks Jeremy!
Some differences between simple ordinary, co kriging and factorial kriging
Hello sir, what if the model is given in the form of an equation, where the equation is gama(L) = 100(1-exp(-3L/100)) for L >= 0
A good explanation. Web are waiting for other vidéos.
good
fantastic
Pretty interesting, I wonder if you could calibrate the insar measurements with the gps data
Hi Jeremy thanks for sharing this knowledge of two layers problem however the two last steps please could you help me understand them?thanks
I want to thank you for publishing a video like this. It is very helpful especially being put in a position in which your not a PNT engineer by trade
