Great review man! I was stuck between these 2 and I think I’m going to get the Fenix. If you had to choose one what would you pick after having and using both?
Hello, Did the charger existed when you made your video and does it solve your problem for choosing, or does it make no difference ? Thank you for your answer and thanks for your videos
I had both.. I love lights..honestly Fenix better on my opinion.. low and medium mode.. haft of lumen ..nahhh olight shouldn't put it on.. 🤷🏼♂️.. that's the only one reason Fenix better and I like ✌️
I will have to take a look at that. I do hesitate as if something happens to the case I have the same issues on charging. I prioritize everything to be usb-c rechargeable so I can use any battery or solar charger to get me going again.
@@HuntPlansInteresting point. If you lose the case it’s both a costly loss as well as zero power. USB-c cables are definitely ubiquitous at this point. Grrrr Baton 4 is just so darn cool looking! lol 😅
I have 4 working flashlights from Fenix(the oldest is about 20 years old) and I also have 4 broken Olight flashlights. So I will probably never ever buy an Olight again.
I’ve never bought a fenix but i’ve had my original olights since 2010. I still carry my s1 baton every day for work. Do you drive over them or something?
@ 3 of the olights was used on 3 different family members keychains. When I talked to olight about it they even admitted having problems with them, something their lights dont seem to like is cold weather and I live in Sweden. So that might be the problem. If you google olight problem, you will find a lot of people having issues with their older lights. BUT to their defence, it seems they are getting better. But until then, I will go with my flashlights from fenix. I have 4 of them, one about 20 years old, still works, but it has a low output. One is the tk22 from 2014, its been used everyday since i bought it. I carry it on my long dog walks every single night. In rain and snow. Even the fenix batteries I bought with the flashlight 2014 still works. I also have a ld20 at work, I bought that about 2009, works great. As a few examples. I use my flashlights a lot, but I usually dont abuse them. However, about 5 years ago I dropt the tk22 from the third floor in an apartment house, stone stairs. 🙄 It bounced all the way down to the bottom floor and I thought that was it, but it still works fine.

USB charge case for o light. And power bank for other devices. Easy choice.

Also the olight use proprietary battery
Get the premium comes with the case which keeps it charged and will charge other stuff bidirectional usb c plug makes the Olight a superb product

Olight has a charging case that will charge up to 5 times. Also the warranty is lifetime
Fenix e18r - When I lightly rub the side button with my thumb, I can feel some play.
It wobbles a little.
Is it normal?
Mine does not have any wobble. You may want to reach out to Fenix if it is still under warranty.
Hard disagree on the firefly /map mode; .5lm >>>> 1lm
Interesting! Olight should get rid of this magnetic charger! By today's standards type C is way better!
Both lights look nice!

@@DurpeeSlurpee He is a Fenix Field Seller KAM :P
Why are you lying?
Watch sensible prepper spiking lights on concrete when they don’t fail the drop tests.
