A trick I have found that works pretty well is when they go off feed is do a full clean on their tub and wash them off with dawn dish soap just like after a female lays eggs. I have done this for both males and females and it has worked.

A few tricks I’ve learned with tricky eaters is if they’re a baby put the baby in a paper bag with a pinky or fuzzy something that can’t bite them leave em for a little bit and come back worked well for me some other things I learned from a breeder I got a snake from is vanilla extracts on the back of the rats neck and if you’re trying to switch to F/T is wait until right after they shed

DaVinci boa DIDN'T work for ME. my pied still isnt eating. I've had her paired to see of she'll eat...still nothing. So I'm just leaving her along as well.

How long do you leave the live rat in the tub with the snake before removing it?

That depends on the size or "dangerousness" of the rodent. If it's small with no teeth or ability to harm the snake, it could be for 30+ mins. If it's big enough to bite the snake I don't really leave it unattended.

Howdy! I'm not big on the whole live thing i have 1 5yr male which has only eaten live ... Now I'm trying to move him to FT. Where i am live prey are hard to get so i thought about breeding them but i have such a small collection that i would quick be overloaded with rodents 😅 how do you euthanize them?
