matt! thank you SO much for this awesome video! my golf game has been excellent lately... just hit my longest (and straightest) drive yesterday (280 yards... i just started golfing last summer)... handicap index 9.5... feeling confident and strong on the course... and then, this morning, all of a sudden, all lost most of my feels (except for short game feels, which, thank goodness, are still solid and very comfortable)... it's as though you made this video for me. thanks brother!

I did this today for about 15 minutes with the 54° before a lesson with my club pro. I can honestly say this helped a lot. The lesson started out with "ok, I promise my drives have been way sh°ttier than this lately". Then we tweaked a couple other things and all is well. Thanks.

😂😂 Great opening! Man, I have felt disconnected the past two weeks with just my irons, and started hitting a shank. It's making me crazy because everything else is working pretty well. I have worked on all kind of stuff to fix it, so much so that I even changed my swing, and now my back and right forearm hurts! So really needed this!

    Such good videos. Thanks
At the end when you hit all those drives, your club face was a bit open at contact. Close this to neutral or negative and you will make more square contact that is a bit more in the center of your club face.
With this, you will achieve a few more yards with a baby draw and you will use a shorter ckub coming into the green.
Voila ... like they say in France !! :)

Very simple and easy to swing and actually good for my back as I had back injury before..... But I do like Matt short game a lots it does help me...so I take a bit there and there and work myself up. No tour player does this. In fact it is a total disservice to golfers in general. Yes connectivity and a synchronized swing is the most important thing in golf (besides putting). But it was Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer. and Hal Sutton who told people the correct way to do it over and over again. And for God's sake. you don't close the club down going back. It is absolutely imperative that the club is centered to your chest and the toe is pointing straight up when you are about half way back. That's touring pro golf 101. As "the men" said, the first 4 to 6 inches of the take away is the most important part of a golf swing. It is the only place that connectivity can be established. Nicklaus said over and over again, miss that opportunity, and the swing can never be recovered. And Hal Sutton even said that his golf game was only as good as his first 4 inches of take-away (in a Golf Channel video). That's where you establish synchronized, arm, shoulder, body connections and remove about 90 percent of the need for timing. It's how pros take their range game to the first tee. No need for much timing. Think about this. If you carry the arms and shoulders back with your big body trunk muscles (use them first), your rotator cuffs only go up and down. not around. This is why Nicklaus said what he said. Once you miss this chance, the swing is a disaster of all timing which never lasts over 2 minutes in your brain. This is why you often hit it out of bounds on the first tee after striping 50 shots in a row on the range just minutes before. Most people have exactly zero connectivity because they "SNATCH' the club back with their arms and shoulders instead of "carrying" them back with their big body trunk muscles. It's why they are and remain "Hacks". I like to think that it is the muscles just above my belt line that begin the swing. Now your "connected" or some pros call it "tightened up".

I had a connection epiphany yesterday. In my backswing my left shoulder would start to turn but then it would push my right arm away from my chest. My elbow would fly out and all kinds of mishits would happen. So I started pressing my right arm to armpit/chest and kept it there. Now I turn instead of swaying and my irons get that punch sound. So happy.

sync issues for me are usually my lower body out racing my upper. My best solutions to this are to feel like my lead side ear is on the back of the ball and then feeling like I transfer my energy into the ground instead of rotating immediately.
