  • Bob Pellerin (CTOBOB) takes us on another long road trip from Montreal to the gulf of Mexico in Texas. In this video Bob talks about the overall impression of actually driving the car. The ride was smooth, the fuel economy noticeable and comfortable overall.
    The only faults we encountered:
    - The entertainment system didn't behave well in the heat if Waze was used while playing podcasts and/or talking on the phone.
    - We replaced the battery. It died in the middle of heatwave.
We got 6.2L/100KM as an average (better than stated numbers)
We also got a range around 1000KM per tank, or 620 miles making it a great car for long trips as it reduces the number of stops required to refuel.
The trip took us from Montreal to Dallas, Houston and back for over 4000 miles (6400KM).
Bob stated that he would take this car on the road again and definitely recommends it.

The 06 Camry I have has 187500+ miles of family (dad>me>brother>me) history. Just under 149,000 when I made the trek from Danbury CT to San Antonio TX (1900+ miles) four and a half years ago in a mere 54 hours. (29 is what Google maps calls it if you skip sleep and fueling,HA.) Count I had was just over 35.00 mpg. Mini-sequel I could drive from Jacksonville FLA to Biloxi MS (~465 miles) two years later before finally pulling in for gas, courtesy of an 18.5 gallon tank. More recently clocked my mostly highway consumption as ~35.56 mpg across 821 miles.
