Thanks for your thoughts, they are appreciated. I can and have shot both split finger and three under, and prefer split finger by a long way. When I first started archery 50+ years ago it was at a target club and everyone shot split finger, so I started that way, then over the years experimented with three under without finding any benefit. Similar can be said about a tab or glove, they all used tabs at the club, so I used a tab, then somewhere along my archery journey I tried a glove and found it much more to my liking in a variety of ways. Having said that, I have tried various styles of glove, and not all of them have been to my liking.
Man every time you talk about TP I can't help but think about how dark of a tunnel I have been in past years with it totally making me lose control over my shot. It is an evil hex! I'm so glad you are doing well with it now. I am doing tolerable. I always feel like I am one shot away from falling into its clinches. You are so right about getting out and enjoying God's blessings. The couch is no place for a bow hunter.
Totally with you on this one. Have shot both ways for the same reasons and always hustle back to split finger whenever I can. I've had bows tillered for 3 under (typically even tiller) and you still feel a harsher vibration on release vs. any bow shot split finger.
Split finger keeps your arrow tight up against the shelf and us old guys when we was young we whittled out our own arrows daily so the knocks would fall off if you shot three fingers under.
I can sympathies with you. I have hand psoriasis and have to bandage up my drawing fingers and wear a white cotton glove when I shoot. If I dont my hands especially will be a bloody mess when I get done, the fingers (all of them) will hurt like hell to the point that I can hardly pick even a small thing up. I also wear glasses so getting a nice high anchor is not possible if I dont use 3 under. I do prefer split but I just cant do it. The doctors say arthritis will come next in my fingers so I shoot as much as I can and thank God for it.
I have lost complete control at times myself. Lol. I also couldn’t draw without shooting. I would tell myself I’m not shooting but just couldn’t stop it. I don’t have target panic beat by no means, but I am doing better.
Appreciate the video! Split finger just feels weird on my face. I just started about 5 years ago with a trad bow. With a blank slate I tried all forms before settling on one. Split finger just feels unnatural to me.i settled on 3 under with a glove kind of a weird combo but works for me.
I shot split all last year for a quiet shot. I shoot gap and it made my gaps to big. So Iam going back to 3 under this year. Made some modifications to my 58" 45# long bow an got it pretty quiet now. Good hunting an GOD bless
I think 3under can be an easier way to gain accuracy for the new guy, but hard to incorporate if you been shooting split finger for 30 years. Just feels unorthodox. But using an IPhone does to😂
I can target shoot better three under but im not a target shooter and I can shoot quickly split finger both deer i killed were on me in the rain and had less than 5 seconds to shoot them one at 17 yrds one at 5 yrds

Split finger just feels more natural to me throughout the entire shot.

I agree with you, whatever feels good and natural and you like. JIK

I’ve shot both also but seem to be more accurate split finger 🙏🏻
What you sent me came yesterday on. The 16 thank you much and the Good Lord be with you
Just curious, was the dead hog left there by a gun hunter?
@@kyletango ran over on the road.
I agree Robert, it just seems to me that shooting 3 under feels like the bow is out of balance. Be blessed.

But using an IPhone does to😂
