- - 🚗 Tata Altroz will be priced between Rs 5.5 lakh and Rs 9 lakh.
- 🚗 Tata Altroz will be available in a total of five variants: XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ(O).
- Tata Altroz 🚗 will compete with the likes of the Toyota Glanza, - Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and Honda Jazz.
- Two engine options to be offered by tata in Altroz - 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel.
The Tata Altroz will be offered with two BS6-compliant for both petrol and diesel engine. Output figures of the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel stand at 86PS/113Nm and 90PS/200Nm respectively.
Tata Altroz gets safety features like ABS with EBD, dual airbags, rear parking sensors with camera, high-speed alert along with driver and co-driver seatbelt warning.
The Altroz gets features such as a dual-tone dashboard, ambient lighting, a 7-inch infotainment system, an 6-speaker Harman sound system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted audio controls as well as cruise control.

Tata is producing nice cars like Harrier,Nexon,Tiago and now altroz with all good features and stylish interiors but I really don't know why people don't choose Tata cars
they compare with tata trucks. Tata trucks are not bad either. But they see as a truck manufacturing company. And other car manufacturers have pampered with false advertisements. In terms of value for money, safety features and kit that has been offered TATA is always to go. But Indian customers will always prefer tin like Maruti than tata.

4 Cylinder engine fans only in internet but in road most vehicles are 3 cylinder engine and 90% people do not know if their engine is 3 or 4 cylinder.

tbh 110 bhp seems to be a bit low. people would buy the 114 bhp tiago jtp because it's lighter and faster. i feel like it should get at least 140 bhp and a new 4 cylinder engine. that would absolutely destroy the polo gt tsi and the abarth punto.
@@sourmiIk It is not just about bhp, the power depends on the torque it offers and bhp is for top speed. Alpha arc platform is not designed to handle high torque which is why they detuned the diesel. Possibility of a turbo petrol is not ruled out but not in a higher state of tune.
JTP is only worth it, if Tata brings its 1.6 Direct Injection Petrol into it. (Expected to come in Harrier). Albeit costing north of 10 Lakh.

@@thewanderer17 great. 5k on odo. I have xt. Superb ride and handling and highway capability. Cons are like too wide for city. Harrier is wider than fortuner. You can see our harrier owners club on facebook

@@thewanderer17 you can wait for bs6 update, but it will be more than a lakh expensive. If you want a harrier you can get it now and there are discounts going on . Go for it

Loved the presentation as always. We've had 5 Tata cars from the Sierra to now the Tiago, and they've slowly evolved. Altroz is strong on the platform design front but as always Tata cars are still lacking that one or two factors like the engine (3pot petrol for a premium hatchback?!)that are letting them and us, the enthusiasts down!

Tata's Altroz makes me feel proud about TATA. Very nice looking car with fully stuffed features. TATA engineers have work very hard to make this car as a premium hackback. Their hard work WON.
If this car was launched 3 months before i would have purchased it. But now i got MS Swift.

I don’t know why companies nowadays don’t offer separate AC screen.
Like Duster, Endeavour, Jeep Compass, Harrier, Hector.
How much do they save by doing this?
I prefer having separate AC screen considering infotainment screen is itself quite small.

Those who feel I am criticising too much let me tell what I like about this car.
1. Interior layout is amazing, I like layered approach they followed.
2. Ambient Lighting looks amazing
3. Sound system
4. Steering design (looks cute with small horn button)
5. Overall design is good (not best).
Talking about engine would be lame, because its something that you must experience yourself before talking.
Some points missed by Tata
1. LED taillights would have certainly upped the appeal of it.
2. From rear it looks like (choti chaddi pehni hai) 😂 you know what I am trying to say.
3. Bigger infotainment system
4. Either fully digital of fully analogue cluster.
Part digital looks like you did a lot of makeup on face but have no money left to spend on your hairs and clothes.
90 degree opening doors should have reachable internal door grabs. I saw you stretching to clise the door. Elders may not be able to reach....
But when do they close the door? we do it for them... Beside u dont have to open it to 90' its just if u want to u can...

Being a tiago owner one thing I can say that the driving position of altroz is spot on!!! Quite unlike the tiago which kinda has an awkward placement of the accelerator pedal!!! N the door thud!!! Huh sounds like it will annihilate any brunt!!!

3 cons with this car:
- Rear bench under thigh support
- No Turbo petrol with 6 gears.
In this segment people would rarely think of buying a diesel. They could launched this car with 1.2l turbo petrol only.
- 1.2 l 3 cyl petrol is a downer.
Tigor styleback lost the battle to Dzire and others because of its engines. Wish TATA would have put some thought before fixing the engine options in this car. A simple survey would have helped. Hope this car doesn't meet with the same fate as that of Tigor.
It has best in class diesel engine. It will get some sales since maruti won't be selling dzire swift baleno in diesel after bs6

Is petrol good for city commuting and occasionally like 600+ km in 2 months .. my daily run is not more than 60km . Is the altroz petrol good? Or buy dzire zxi. Only these 2 variants fall in close price band and maruthi petrol engine is smooth and refined. I. Confused please advise

i read somewhere that it will get a DCT, also the 90 degree doors resembles the wings of albatross when viewed from top, nice touch there by TATA. overall looks striking and practile the only thing which will make concern buyers is the option of automatic.

Altroz missing out on very things like punchy engine performance, few small features and very big time on Automatic transmission (we know DCT is coming) but this review gets all the points correct 🙂
