Hello, I'm Rousseau, I make piano covers of classical and pop songs with a reactive visualizer. New videos every Monday and Thursday!

Amélie. One of the most enchanting movies, with one of the most timeless soundtracks. The magical atmospheres that Yann Tiersen creates in his music are unparalleled, every time I listen I can't help but be transported into another world. Hope you're having a great week so far ♥
Thank you so much for inspiring me to learn piano it hasn’t been a full year yet but I’m learning so much everyday and you’re the light that started this journey for me thank you ♥️
You are simply wonderful!
Beautiful work, as always! Keep it up - and don't worry about those that hate on the pop covers. Do what you have to do to live your passion and share your gift.
Could you please add BALLADE no 1 and TRISTESSE etude to your Spotify?

this song makes me feel emotions that don’t exist and have memories that aren’t mine
that was kind of beautiful and actually fits the mood of this song, kind of mysteriously sad and happy at the same time
Deeeeeep
Emotions are timeless, and yet, we struggle to represent this immaterial concept into words.
Damn.
There isn't really a word that describes that feeling in English, but there is a Welsh word - "hiraeth".
Means something along the lines of "a longing for a home you never had" or something to that effect.
I get the same feeling from this song too
@@wakerobin9215 it's not a song guys, it is a composition
When I listen to this, I feel emotions that I have never felt, I feel a stone in my throat, I cannot breathe. I want to get up and start dancing slowly like a wave. This is strange but very beautiful
Nice to see a Turkish around here 😆😊
same here, its a beautiful emotion
Yooo my last name is Şahin too :D
But yes this song is so beautiful
an extrange sense of fusion with that there is no words to describe, however, it soaks everything
Tears in our eyes show it .....
Once I was in Incheon airport, my flight was delayed and I was about to sleep, then I heard this music being played someone. Instantly loved to melody, went downstairs and there was a woman with her students. A little girl was playing this with heart. I talked to their teacher she was so kind and shit forgot to ask the name of this music. Today I finally found it🎉

Does anyone else feel like this song was very important to you in some other life you've lived?
I don't know how many lifes I've had, but I damn sure know one this song is important in. This is one of the first songs I ever taught myself on piano due to procrastinating in my exam finals, about 5 years after my school's music teacher yelled at me again and again I had no musical talent, having me get no better than an E and making me lose my pure love for music I had at that time.
He was a terrible teacher and lost his job shortly after I changed classes so I didn't have to endure him anymore. He did a hell of bad things tho, making pupils cry by yelling at them, calling everyone dumb all the time, wishing it were the times where teachers would have a whipping stick etc.
I met him in my PE classes prior to my exams where he was still allowed to teach, again gave me a bad grade despite me not doing bad, but at that time I rather pitied the man than hated him. Jokes on you, I'm still wasting my talent by not practising every day but I play actual drums along with tons of samba drums etc, piano,...
Exactly what I thought🤣

HERE IS THE MILLION-DOLLAR QUESTION: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you.
Hebrews 9:27
Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,
it was composed in 2001 so it's impossible if you're not born after that year
Here I leave my comment. Thanks to this masterpiece, I met someone very special. The date is April 2, 2022. I was going to play at a concert, then a familiar face appeared during the rehearsals. She played this masterpiece and conquered my heart. Now that familiar face is my girlfriend. Maybe if this masterpiece didn't exist

for some reason, since I was young I've always had something VERY DEEP about the music that the piano makes (and who plays it). I always felt something, inside, in my chest and belly, different sensations in each sound the piano made, I really wanted to be a pianist, I didn't know why, but I wanted to. Unfortunately, my parents did not take my wishes seriously. Nowadays I'm 14 years old, I'm still very young. For a while, I had forgotten how the piano makes me feel. but watching your lie in april (a sad music anime) I remembered and felt that feeling again. I did not give up! I'm here because I love hearing the sound of the piano, and I'm going to make my parents take seriously the way in which I want to express myself. I want to put my love on the piano, and convey that to whoever listens. Even if I don't become a pianist, I still want to express myself in this beautiful way. I sincerely love music with all my heart. wish me luck! Who knows, I might become a pianist KSMSKZKKXN !! >

Dude, It’s been 18 years now that I was looking for this song. Thanks for an artist that helped me to find it🙏🏻
Finally I can rest in peace 😄
I found it by humming it with my telephone on google. I heard you could do that and it actually worked. Heard the accordion version in a youtube video I was watching and wanted to know how it is called. I watched Amélie years ago during French class and this song is so familiar to me.
This music and the movie are masterpieces. It makes me feel nostalgic for people, places, moments that I've never known. It is sad and happy at the same time, and that is the definition of nostalgia.

I have been learning this piece for a few months now. All these positive comments make me feel it's worth the time and effort.
why people always gotta dislike, it's music, art, it's beauty, how can you dislike that?
I guess cause they use the dislike button the "wrong" way. Like when i dont enjoy something i just leave the video without pressing any button. I only dislike if something is seriously wrong like discrimmination in any form or stuff like that. But i think a lot of people press dislike when theyre like "meh that wasnt really that cool"
The melancholy sound just draws you in, so beautiful.

How can a person compose something like that? It just blows my mind. Extreme talent.
Yay! A song that won't make my fingers fall off...
Again
I just realized there are no sharps or flats, everything in this one is natural.
Wow, just saw that too
True! You're observant. It's in the key of C making it a very appealing song to play. Someone gave me the sheets to this and I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't too difficult. (It was "sight read" friendly, too)
@@VampireSugarRush actually it's A minor :D
@@yaroslavbabych5427 ha! I think you're spot on. Thanks for informing me. :)
C major/A minor is actually a "relatively" difficult key to play in on the piano.
Reason is, with the shape of our hands, our fingers naturally fall over the black keys on the keyboard. So playing in keys that use the black notes allows our hands to move more naturally.
In order to play all white keys, you have to move your hands in a motion that tends to be less natural.
Who can dislike such beautiful play? 🌹
they are just jealous i’m afraid .
Actually, I started playing piano because of Rousseau. I watched him everyday and suddenly thought..."what if I play something?,I have time to spare". I became fond of piano to the point I have one...I started practicing at my school with my classmates keyboards and got to play this and Comptine d'un autré eté.

U mean u had a piano and didnt do anything with it?
When u saw that video, the one thing i love is that you didnt sulk since u hadnt learned piano up to that point, you said to yourself why dont i challenge by learning this instrument? Mastering piano is just like mastering chess, u dont need to have high iq to be a chess grandmaster, just like how u dont need to have flexible hand to do such an arpeggio. As long as u practice it well enough, im sure you'll handle most of it. And about synthesia, there's just some missing components from most synthesia, like dynamic for the most obvious example. Its ok if u need synthesia for like a couple of month playing the piano, but u also need to practice reading the sheet music as well.
@@asyaryraihan Thanks Raihan ! I have been able to learn this piece by heart , very proud. Also one more thing , you talked about the dynamics being missing if you learn through synthesia but wont you get enough idea on how to go about it once you listened to the piece like 30 times or so ? just wanted to know im still learning to read though
This is just a cosmic song!! So melodic, neat, beautiful....

Being able to listen to this is an enough reason to stay alive
He was the man who inspired me to play piano again and even make a channel for it. He is just such an amazing pianist and i have learnt so much just watching his videos. Growth on my channel is slow but im enjoying making content and playing piano again and sharing it to as many people as possible! it would mean the world if you showed any support but all credit goes to you rousseau! Thank you for everything!!!
