I have the same exact bowl. Best bowl I ever had. So much volume, never splashes when pouring in, thick enough layer, smooth edges, and well decorated.
Add water to the dry ingredients until its a little clumpy. This protects the dry ingredients from burning from the oil. Pour the oil into the ingredients half a cup at a time.
I have the exact same bowl, it is indeed a nice bowl. In fact I have two of them and two smaller size with the same design. Bought them all in a Kim Phat asian grocery store in Montreal Canada !
I personally use microwave bowls just because of oil temperatures but I also like to use straight up pans or cooking utensils they work pretty well but as for bowls in general ceramic bowls work pretty well but sometimes if you add something too hot directly into it if the room temperature or the bowl in general is cold then it may break.
