  • Scott Braun, A.J. Pierzynski and Erik Kratz are here to bring you another edition of #FTLIVE! The Astros are shining with a 9-1 record in their last 10 games and are now only 3 games behind Seattle in the AL West. They beat the Blue Jays Monday night behind a dominating Hunter Brown who pitched 6 SHO innings. On the other end in the NL, Nats prospect James Wood makes his MLB debut vs the Mets and get his first major league hit. The guys dissect his performance and chat the 9-7 loss for WSH. Former MLB Manager Joe Maddon joins the show, along Phillies slugger Whit Merrifield and our Senior Insider Ken Rosenthal who discuses his latest including All-Star picks and starters. Braun, Pierzynski and Kratz spin the Trade Deadline Wheel and give their Locks of the Dat presented by BetMGM.

You guys totally missed an opportunity with Whi! Especially after talking to Joe and state of youth baseball. Know his dad was such a stud hitter at Wake, how about asking him what advice is dad is giving him during this tough time? How instrumental is/was he in his development? What was his best and worst advice he’s ever given you about hitting & life? You guys are walking in the same line on how you can help your young son’s development, there maybe something to learn there for you and other dads!

Abreu was a statue at first and he couldn’t pick any throws in the dirt. You could tell Bregman wasn’t happy with him. He looked like he had a bad back.
