When things get tough just remember:
    (1) This life is a test and Allaah is testing us
    (2) This dunya is very short and then comes the Day of Judgement
    (3) Remember the trials of the Prophets, Shahabas, Scholars, and have patience
    (4) With patience comes immense reward
    (5) Death is at our doorstep and what really matters is if you obeyed Allaah's commands or not.

If something good happens, he is thankful; if something bad happens, he is patient.

Never will Allah burden you with a hardship He knows you are not capable of handling.
In Surat Al-Baqarah, Allah says, “Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity”, which means He only gives you that which you strong enough to carry. This is a relief in itself because Allah, most-Knowledgeable, knows our capacities best. So, hold on to be patience no matter how difficult it may seem. Our struggle, as excessive as it may be, is but a temporary one. The wave will pass but we would have missed out on the reward. Rely on Allah and don’t let these minutes go to waste. Just be patient a little more and Allah, All-Mighty, will provide you with a relief soon.
    Allah never breaks His promises!

@@Sargon288 I myself can testify this is true.
When I was younger I had a very hard life growing up, one calamity after another and I was so depressed I gave up hope completely, may Allah forgive me🤲.
Standing on a high building ready to jump one summer day, I looked up and I desperately asked Allah to give me one reason not to jump because I couldn't find one myself at the time. When I looked down again I saw a man pushing his adult son in a wheelchair and I remembered the young man was paralyzed from the neck down. So there was my answer, I was so drowning in my misery all this time I never saw I still had my health to be thankful for and I had a lot of other things too. It was like a veil had been lifted from my eyes and for the first time in years I could see the beauty of the sky, the trees and the birds flying above my head. I came down and immediately started practicing my Deen again.
I still had the same problems for a while but somehow they didn't feel so heavy anymore, and little by little my life started to change for the better alhamdulillah.
I always believed in Allah but for years I thought He had abandoned me, but the truth was that I had abandoned Him!
After that experience I am strongly convinced a strong spiritual connection with God is the key to both examples you gave, because He will give you strength and you never feel lonely having God on your side.
As a Muslim ofcourse I would say Islam is the right Path for all mankind, but if you haven't come to that conclusion yet than at least hold on to your Creator, and sincerely ask Him to help you and lead you to the right Path.
I now no longer despair, because I have experienced: "fa inna ma'a al'usri yusra" (verily after difficulty come ease).
And many of the hardships I went through turned out to be blessings in the end, subhanallah.
      Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar!

Hardship can be a sign that Allah hasn't given up on you despite all your shortcomings and sinful ways : He will keep diping you in what you dislike the most until you learn SUBMISSION and TRANSCENDANCE. In other words, until you grow spiritually beyond the petty discomforts and the petty aspirations of this earthly life, that is, until you become immuned to the unplesant things in this life.
Whatever things happen to you - good or bad - it is not a surprise to Allah, for He knows all things from the begining till the end, it is only a surprise to you. If Allah wanted you to have a life where you are all the time wealthy ($), healthy (no diseases), emotionally unscathed (no one hurt you)...etc, do you really think it would have been difficult for Him to
make it so ?. OF COURSE NOT. You belong to HIM : if He wants to give you times of ease and abundance, it is too easy for Him, if He wants to give you hardship and scarcity it is too easy for him. So why not just SUBMIT, accept it, do your best and let Allah do the rest ??.
Hardship can also be a blessing in this life : Allah is merciful and JUST. If you break His commandments, you have to pay somehow someday, even if only symbollically. Paying in this life for our sins (disease, accident, loss of money, getting cold, getting hot...etc) is a blessing because the only way to pay for sins in the next life is the fire of Hell.
If you suffer from chronic anxiety (just like the ignorants and the fouls hooked on big pharma pills) it only means one thing : the muslim layer you are wearing is a very thin layer, and underneath it there is a whole lot of confusion, ignorance (of the messages of The Quran), thirst for the illusions of this life, maybe a hungry ugly ego too ......etc. It is a sign that it is time to REALLY understand Islam and REALLY make it enter your heart AND your mind.
"The Bird of Paradise Alights Only On The Hand That Does Not Grasp."

I'm sorry i feel like talking about my life story in this comment section. I'm only 23 but my life wasn't the most fun at all. I had a bad relationship with my parents, i had a particular traumatic event in my preteen that kinda stunted my growth during my teenage years. In my early 20's i tried to be better to have a place in society, but then last year i faced something that really brought my life to shambles: i fought a lot with my parents, i had a difficult relationship with a guy i liked, and my undergrad thesis didn't go well, plus my academic advisor belittled me so much it made me lose confidence in myself. It took a lot of me to finally get back up and stop loathing myself. Tho one thing i'm grateful for is that it brings me to Allah tho it took months for me to realize that. This video gives me a new perspective that whatever calamities i faces, it was because Allah let it happen. I think it was both because i made a mistake and Allah wanted to test me since there were a lot of things out of my control yet i also didn't handle my life properly. In retrospect, i'm grateful now that i'm here finally finding my sanctuary in Allah. I wish i could be consistent in this path, i'm just starting. Thank you brother for your explanation, i found this in the perfect moment when i needed this.

MashALLAH, I love that Brother Khan can make a whole medium sized video on a small verse. He’s excellent at intricately interpreting each and every verse. May Allah SWT grant him Jannah, Ameen.

We say InshaAllah (If God`s willing) for things yet to happen.
We say Alhamdulilah (Thank God) for anything that happens good or bad.
We say MashaAllah (God has made it possible).
This 3 words or (realities) are some of the many beliefs that unite all Muslims on planet earth and they are use probably million times a day.

BarakAllahu feek!. I did let myself go deep into the path of self-loathing for a long time but Alhamdullah over the years I started disliking myself less. I do hold myself responsible for everything, even when someone has done wrong to me. Now I won't say that I do love myself now but I feel better than I was when I was a teenager. There's a phrase you mentioned that really caught my eye "Only through the love of Allah you find love for yourself and esteem for yourself" . I have always suffered of these two difficulties: self-loathing and zero self-esteem. Nothing I have ever done helped me in loving myself and having esteem for myself and here it is a simple and effective way to do it " Loving Allah". Jazak Allahu khairan!

Adah Redha You should look up your questions online so that it is answered by a scholar or ask a scholar yourself, usually friends wont be able to answer Islamic question, or at least not nearly as well
