agreed.. in 1998-2000 watcharachai was considered "unbeatable"... hense "Muay thai fighter of the year" in 2000. Watcharachai is considered one of the best Technical fighters.. EVER
he is the master of his own body mechanics so what works for him may be to really straighten his leg. You can still practice this technique just tweek it to fit you. Each persons take on a technique is open to interpretation. If it works for you great! If not something will come along that will.
FUSSY, you seem to be an authority on Muay Thai, you comment on a lot of videos with an extremely critical tone. Are you a nak muay? If so, what's your name? I'm sure you are a well respected figure in the community, renowned for his perfect technique.
it's legit technique. I've learned it, and successfully implemented in sparring and in fight. it's only one small part of many aspects you'll use in real time - this single technique you may only use once or twice in actual practice. .. its surprising anyone would be critical of this video for something you actually learn if you've spent any amount of time training muay thai.
something you would use to surprise and counter with. rarely used but a great tool to add to your toolbox
This is my coach. He was undefeated in lumpee stadium for 3 years. When he says something just do it 🤣🤣

It looks like it works butI'm not comfortable with locking your knee out to evade a teep.
I know a guy his name is Connor Mc Gregor maybe you can show him some of your leg protection skills 😁
If you straighten your leg & he still gets it, that would break your knee completely my friend
