How can someone not love real tomatoes? And with that I don't mean the watery and tasteless things you can get in the supermarket in winter. My tip for everyone who can, is trying out to grow tomatoes at home or at least buying them when they are in season from a farmers market. Also look for the more interesting varieties. Tomatoes come in all kind od shapes and and colours and they also all taste different.
I keep mine on the counter BECAUSE I don't like them that much...if I have to stare at them all the time I'll eventually eat them just to get them out of the way lolol! 😅
Leave them on the counter, not the fridge--got to be healthy, right? Keep the lycopene active that way. If they start to get too ripe, make salsa! Or bruschetta!
Made the tomato egg drop soup tonight and it was the best tomato egg drop soup I've had since I was a child in Brooklyn, New York about 70 years ago! I used homemade chicken broth and added some white pepper for "zing". Thanks for sharing your marvelous and creative recipes. I've been enjoying not only watching, but also making them!
I love Ramyun with tomato! When I make Shin Ramyun I like to pan roast cherry tomatoes until slightly caramelized before adding them to the soup. It adds an unbelievable depth and umami to the dish and I think everyone should try it!

I saved green onion root ends and stuck them in my flower pots on patio. Now I have too much, haha! So great recipes for me to use all my Free green onions and chives.
I put them in a glass with a bit of water, and change the water every day or two. It works for a little while. Maybe someday I will grow more vegetables to save money.

Maybe give a spot with afternoon shade. I have changed most of my Apartment pots to herbs and veggies now and share with my neighbors.

Growing up in Hawai’i, there’s a lot of ramen (or as we say, saimin) fusion dishes. However, I’ve never tried it with tomatoes so gave it a shot. Claire made it look so delicious... and it was! Mahalo for this recipe! I’ll definitely be trying the tomato kimchi next. 😋🤙🏽

For people in Canada/U.S. the tomato that Aaron used is called Roma over here (some call it vine tomato)... It great for this because it has more meat and less seeds and pockets of moisture. Using like a beefsteak tomato would turn in to porridge. The second recipe looks great... eggs are underrated (Aaron taught me this.) ;-D
No tomatoes in my fridge because putting them in the fridge ruins the flavor! They should always stay at room temperature in my humble opinion. They stay so much sweeter and more flavorful at room temperature.

For the soup Base she cooked ripe tomatoes, made puree, added lemon juice, Salt, pepper and butte butter. Then she dropped in the dough. Yummy. A wonderful Christmas to you two! Putting them in the fridge also deactivates the lycopene, which is the heart-healthy ingredient. I'll only put a tomato in the fridge if I've cut one up and have some left over.
It dependes on where on Earth you are, I live in a semidesert part of Mexico, mornings are so cold that we don't need to put them in the fridge as soon as we buy them, but we still need to use the fridge for them if there are a lot
I actually tried the tomatoe egg drop soup. Its now the second time i try it and its delicious!!!! I love it as a simple but flavorful dinner. My boyfriend loves it as well. 6:20 in Vietnam we call this Cloud soup. And we use different method. We make a little whirlpool in the wok, then lower the heat, but keep making the whirlpool with chopsticks, then we add the egg slowly, this way makes the egg more appealing. You should try this method. Your soup will look better 100%.
#1 is one of my favorite ways to have tomatoes. I like to add red and yellow bell peppers and yellow onion. Then top with green onion. If you fry the veggies in a butter olive oil mix it is delightful!

#1 is one of my favorite ways to have tomatoes. I like to add red and yellow bell peppers and yellow onion. Then top with green onion. If you fry the veggies in a butter olive oil mix it is delightful!

Tomato egg stir fry is an amazing comfort food! The way you make is very classic, now I make the egg gordon ramsay slow cooked scrambled egg method and it makes a very smooth and creamy sauce!
