When you Pressed the Clutch in this made a loud screeching noise??? How Much did is Cost for the throw out bearing it self & what would you say is a reasonable price to fix this problem on a 2000 VW jetta 5 speed??
@@chrisbearden1331 Yes it was the Throw out Bearing I replaced the Whole Clutch assembly though, with a Stage 2. I figured if the job is gonna get done, might as well put better performance parts in than before. Even more so if you like to do burn outs. it costed me around 500$ and I can't remember the cost of the kit. but it was 300$ less then what it cost me to get it installed. Most shops will try and upcharge you a lot like 1,500-3k dollars for something like this but you can def find a mechanic to do it for reasonable price. Price will be somewhat based on your area(500-1k). Make sure it's someone you can trust and is competent. If you have any noise when you press the clutch this will make it all better,. ;) I Lovee this car to this day it looks like shyt and it's beaten to hell but it's a little burn out machine, with 250k miles. One of the Best cars I've ever owned. tbh

And I like how you picked the higher performance clutch kit for this. I had been thinking about the standard clutch kit. But for not too much more, like you're saying, I could do a performance kit instead for just a bit more, should I ever decide to do some performance upgrades later on.

Did you ever find this out on your vw? I'm about to have to replace mine as well. 2004 vw tdi 5 speed

@@killercat32 Mine has about 240k miles on it. First vw I've owned, and I definitely wanted the diesel engine.
