I wish i knew more like you on the beautiful game but while i was watching all our games the words of my dad came to me. If you have 2 teams playing passing and defensive tactics then its a boring game as they will attack rarely. Thats how i saw all our games not thinking of luck but more about only playing better when the urgency needed it. Great blog but im sure your words of wisdom carry nore weight :-) take care buddy
Greatly appreciated as usual Del, my congratulations goes to Spain, without a doubt the best team throughout the Euros. They provided everything that is great about the sport, unlike England who seemed afraid to attack and not show that urgency when it was necessary.
Sorry to hear About U feeling run down , Glad to hear you're feeling a lot better though, You're right Spain did you deserve to win But it still hurts, Only 2 years to go though and it all begins again, Hopefully then it will be coming home, Great video mate
Cheers for your kind comments Marc, I'm starting to feel more or less back to normal, still wish the occasional dizziness pisses off 😂 Disappointed but honestly not at all surprised losing to Spain. If it ever comes home again is anyone's guess, I know Southgate handed in his resignation just this morning.
Glad to know you're recovering mate get well soon. Whilst I would've liked to see England win something fair play to Spain. They've been the best team in the tournament and thoroughly deserved to win it. Though Shearer banging on about Luke Shaw making every single tackle was annoying as hell, calm down Alan it's his job. Why Southgate insisted on picking Kane despite the fact it doesnt work baffles me, his stubbornness throughout the tournament was one of the reasons England lost, to bloody hard headed to stop picking his favourites. It was proven when he brought on Ollie Watkins in the semi final, literally 2 minutes later he scored. Good to see you back mate, take care. I've a Euro 2004 PS2 series going on if you're interested.
Good to hear from you Jamie, yet again Soutgate's stubbornness is a prime example why England keep falling short. No complaints about Spain, they've shown determination from start to finish.
American here, weighing in with a neutral viewpoint: The PK in the Dutch game was 100% warranted. The guy had his leg high, with studs out, was late, & got Kane’s leg with his studs in a completely reckless challenge. In fact, it was borderline red card 🟥 action. Even the US broadcast commentators were saying “that’s a penalty” when the VAR replay was happening. To hear the Dutch players & coaches complaining about it after the game (a game in which England outplayed them, & in which they conceded a 90th minute tie breaking goal) was so absolutely crybaby 😭 👶 of them, I was glad to see them lose. That game against The Netherlands was England’s best game of the tournament. Just like the 2008-2012 Spanish team (which was the best men’s soccer team I’ve ever seen), this 2024 Spanish team is a team that’s more than the sum of its parts. No major superstars. Just excellent team cohesion. Did you see any of the Copa America? It was very entertaining as well. Argentina showed why they’re the top ranked 🥇 team in the world, winning it over a Colombian team that was red hot going into the finals. Some great soccer ⚽️ this past month. Now I’m sort of at a loss as to what to watch when it comes to sports 😆.
Much appreciated Cauldron, great analysis from a neutral perspective. Seeing the likes of Spain and Argentina winning both competitions is why I love the sport, despite some questionable refereeing at times. Onto the Olympics I guess 😂
Tip: the intense bright light from that window is killing the contrast level of your video and washing it out. Not sure if you know, just sayin. I watched the match last night, we did okay but in all fairness the best team won, we were outclassed.
Cheers mate! I've messed around with the brightness and contrast settings on OBS more times than I want to admit, but even the best levels make hardly a difference, it annoys me greatly. May invest in getting a blind at some point which should hopefully prevent this kind of glaring. Massive congrats to Spain, we simply didn't stand a chance against the very best. Surprised we even reached the final in all honesty lol
