Zounds were one of the best bands to come out of Britain in the 1980s most people never got to heart hem because the band were very much a part of the Anarcho Punk scene and so hit records were not on the agenda, it's a pity because I have always thought that Zounds would've made a huge dent in the top 40 charts and got their music and message across to a much bigger audience. For those of you who don't realise it they were actually a 3 piece and their song Demystification was actually covered by 1990s brit pop indie band Lush.
@@youjoker9647 eah they managed to soak their political message in great songs and music, The Mob were also another favourite of mine, No Doves fly here is exceptional, both band are connected via drummer Josef Porter funny enough.

Just too overtly political to become popular. Its amazing that some of their songs seem more relevant than ever today? Loved The Mob too.
Demystification is a long time favourite of mine. Had no idea Lush covered it. Gonna have to look that up!
@@patkelly3966 Yeah do check it out. Demystification is a beautiful peiece of music and one I will never tire of.

It’s 1933
And she don’t wanna know
‘Bout little men and things
Cos she just wanna go
Dancing dancing
Dancing dancing
Dancing, dancing
She walks the streets by day,
Less people all around
But she don’t worry ‘bout that
Cos she is going down town
Dancing dancing (The girls and the boys all go)
Dancing dancing (Making a noise, they go)
Dancing, dancing
Berlin Munich Cologne
Sweet mother Germany
Come to the Cabaret
Don’t worry about history (history)
Dancing dancing (The girls and the boys all go)
Dancing dancing (Making a noise, they go)
Dancing, dancing
It’s 1938
Sweet mother Germany
It seems so far away
And you will never be
Dancing dancing (The girls and the boys all go)
Dancing dancing (Making a noise, they go)
Dancing, dancing
Never again, never again,
Never again, never again,
Never, never, never again,
Never, never, never again,
Never, never, never again,
Never, never, never again,
Never, never, never, again...
Never!
