I remember the indoor market and Arthur’s cafe in the corner, where we would go for beautiful pork butties with stuffing,apple sauce n gravy on the sandwich and a big piece of crackling on the side with a steaming cup of tea. Perfect for a freezing winters day. Happy memories. Nothing like it these days, especially as I’m now the other side of the world.
My parents grew up in Willenhall and migrated to Australia after the war. I felt quite sad that I didn’t ask my parents more about their childhood . However I am planning to visit there in May 2020.
