- The Gokaiger's Captain Marvelous and Luka Millfy definitely has a love-hate relationship. I loved how Marvelous showed deep concern for Luka after the threat of Gaisorg and goes through a lot to find her when she goes missing. And then later sees Luka as his "treasure". Though he never actually said it but never denied it either.
And while not official (yet, hopefully), to me, these two are a couple. I love them as well as their actors, Ryota Ozawa and Mao Ichimichi so much. They will forever be in my heart.

Marvelous says "Yeah. You're damn right I do." Symbolism since later Luka is viewed as 'his treasure'...
If you think about it Marvelous and Luka stuff in the Strongest Battle is like a episode in itself. LOL
For a 4 episode special, Super Sentai Strongest Battle was actually fantastic. Brought many actors/actresses back and this had imo a nice plot as well. Really really like this
I also notice Marvelous doesn't smile. He laughs, yes which he tries to hold back from Takaharu's antics. However he only see him really genuinely smile in my mind when he's reunited with Luka. I think it makes him truly happily arguing with her, dealing with her feistiness and challenging personality. After all. He's a pirate captain. For those that ship him with Ahim because of that one episode...Gai just assumed. Marvelous may have been just telling the truth. He had no interest in Ahim. I mean a princess who's very kind and what not....it doesn't really suit his lifestyle either. Luka is a female pirate in every sense of the word. Luka if you notice in the series is the one that understands Marvelous most. In fact...when Marvelous first recruited Luka he was basically flirting with her....Luka from what I remember is the only one Marvelous asked to join his crew. I could be wrong there though...
You’ve certainly said a lot, but I 100% agree with everything you said. I do believe that there is something between them. May not be much but there is something. That had to be a flirt from Marvelous when he reunited with Luka. And when she calls him an idiot, that little moment itself is my most favorite. I liked how you pointed out the background music seemed a bit romantic. I always thought that too. That reunion though, I just can’t get enough of it. Bickering like an old married couple, the kick, the punch, yes! I hope they have a special moment in the 10 year movie. Confirming they’re a couple, a kiss, something. But it’s nice to see someone else sees them the exact same way I do. And I hope to come across many more who do.

@@KeyBaby174 Luka seemed more like she was worried..."what's with the crazy crap..." it seemed more like she was worried for doing something so reckless.
And they always seemed to bicker like an old married couple in the series. Like when Luka's guiding the ship to the floating island for one of the super sentai teams (Wild Force in English. Can't name all of them in Japanese) as an example. Or how Marvelous ends up catching Luka in his arms in a bridal carry....and she's not mad that he's holding her. The only thing she says to him is 'where have you been?' Like a girlfriend asking why their late...LOL and Marvelous only puts her down when she starts wacking him. (I know I write a lot but I always have so much to say as evidence and stuff I love in series)
Yes, I would love them to finally kiss or something. I says that the goikaiger disbanded at some point and they went their separate ways. There's a coliseum or something for super sentai...and gokaiger is the only one that can't be found due to said disband (what exactly caused it?)...Gai now supports this colisuem and Marvelous is against it. And I seen pictures that show Luka and Joe would be siding with Marvelous (there's also more Gokaiger)...I honestly hope we see more of Marvelous and Luka bickering like an old married couple...as even they did confirm anything they would still bicker.
@@SashGirl34 Hey no worries, it’s all good. You say as much as you want. I could hear or read about these two all day. Good point about the floating island episode. Gaoranger is who they are. I did like how Marvelous caught Luka. And Joe caught Ahim. I ship them together because of the Shinkenger episode where Joe made the cake at the end and Ahim looking out for Joe in one of the earlier episodes. But back to Marvelous and Luka, another moment that has to be mentioned is the episode with BoukenRed. When Marvelous was bothered by Basco so Luka tried to cheer him up and get him back to himself. Even showing concern when Marvelous was spacing off thinking about his adventures with Akared. I think I’m going to have to make a compilation video of them in the series.
Also Marvelous said everyone has a one track mind...it's like he has no desire to protect the universe until he finds and saves Luka first.
I really love when Marvelous and Luka have their own time together! It's good to see when Luka shows marvelous how much she also cares about him with a good old kick! Love both of them so much!
Marvelous isn't bothered by it...just compliments on the kick. As it's more he knows it's coming...like when Luka attempted to punch him....he blocked it without even looking...
Kagura got the least amount of screen time but made up by her being her 😂 santa
It's funny as when Luka the vassal for Gaisorg armor...Marvelous gets his buttkicked....when Takaharu and Stinger are in the armor is when Marvelous is able to defeat Gaisorg for the most part. (Help from Yamato on the last)....from what I can tell at least rewatching it. I mean he technically won against Gaisorg when Takaharu became it's vassal the first time they faced..it's more he was off guard....the same when he first faced Gaisorg when Luka went missing and he was using her technique.
Yeah, when I first watched this special, Marvelous and Luka's interaction seemed....."more" than I have seen in their season. Though even when binge watching Gokaiger a year after their season aired, the chemistry between the two always felt close than what appeared. It always felt more playful and flirtatious.
I do get the Marvelous X Ahim ship. And I also want to point out that I watched the team more for their chemistry with each other as friends and crewmates; so shipping never was the main focus when I watched Gokaiger. For me, I saw Marvelous-Ahim as an older brother-young sister type of relationship. It has been a while since I've last watched epsiodes of Gokaiger but I think there was a line or two about Ahim initially having feelings for him at first but by the end of the season, it's clear that the two stuck with a sibling type of friendship. Anyone is free to correct me on this detail.
Add that it was just assumed by Gai that he may like Ahim. This very well isn't the case at all. He just cared for her as a friend and even like a little sister. While Luka he asked her to join. Ahim joined as a symbol for the rebellion...and the way Marv and Luka argue comes off as old married couple bickering...Marvelous is a pirate so to me makes more sense he more likely would love Luka's more challenge personality...and there's moments he can be a bit perverted. For example, he doesn't think twice about going to touch Luka inappropriately to get a monster out of her suit...
I didn't really see anything between Marvelous and Ahim...it felt more Joe-Ahim, Marvelous-Luka with lots of the ship tease to me.
Also Yamato was the one that figured out why Marvelous was acting the way he was....yes, he cares for his friends. However, I think because of Marvelous pride and won't embarrass him. He said his treasure as his friends....as at the end when they ask him about 'his treasure'...he hesitant and acts more like he is flustered and turns his head. In a Marvelous way.
Add...Marvelous doesn't have a true smile until he reunites with Luka...he clearly enjoys arguing with her and wilding her up....it shows it's there way of flirting. Hehehehe.
Fun Fact. This was influenced by One Piece (anime)..Marvelous has traits from Monkey D. Luffy...and Luka is influenced by Nami. That series is not really a 'romance' series...(It has tip bits here and there of something like a one sided crush. I didn't see all of it.) However though unofficial. There was a picture once of Luffy holding a baby girl that looked like Nami. So it's implied that Nami could Luffy's love interest. Which is something perhaps their taken from for Gokaiger. From what I know Nami is the only one that holds Luffy's iconic hat.
Marvelous x Luka makes sense
Strongest battle DEFINITELY hints something is between them.
The others figure out due to being a pirate his looking for treasure...Yamato and Kagura just don't know what it is. Marvelous had a concerned look on his face on what happened to previous victims that were controlled. Also Stinger talks about seeing glimpse of a 'yellow pirate' and Marvelous asking about Luka if she's okay...and he can't answer if she's okay or not. Yamato then realizes that Luka is Marvelous' 'treasure' he's been trying to find. However Yamato gets interrupted before he can finish. Being Yamato's mature...I think he realizes Marvelous may have feelings for Luka but being his a pirate captain and not the emotional type. He may have said his treasure was 'his friends' to make Marvelous feel comfortable and not embarrassed out of respect. However Marvelous doesn't confirm or deny anything
I mean the music that places when Marvelous and Luka are finally reunited....it comes off as something that makes it 'romantic' in nature to me.
Their arguing during their reunion is so very them. It even came off like an old married couple bickering due to their love-hate relationship. Luka acting more like a nagging girlfriend ...why he doing something so crazy (putting gaisorg's helmet on him on) and the fact he trusted her to stop him and get it off. It's sweet. He's not even mad when he kicks him. Instead compliments it. Luka also says 'shut up' when he said she knew he can handle it. To me it felt like they were flirting in their own way. I mean even Kagura and Takaharu were looking at them questionable why they were arguing...
Also how he gets very injured while trying to fight gaisorg by himself...intended to find out what happened to Luka on his own. While he did attack his crew...what happened to Luka is more what's making it personal for hm.
At the very end Luka is waiting for Marvelous to come get her...comes off more as a girlfriend waiting to be picked up...LOL. Do too forgetting about getting her for the time being after the battle. You know it's not going to pretty once he comes back to get her. You know Marvelous will be getting scolding or worse when comes to get her...M
Also we're getting 10 years later movie coming...I am so excited. Marvelous and Luka are basically semi canon because of strongest battle....so hope they can confirm them as a couple for 10 years later...
Also the end before it cuts to Luka waiting for him. Marvelous is asked about 'his treasure' he said it's fine. However when he says the later part. He turns his head away from the others. Indicating he doesn't want them to see his face. Though everyone knows it's Luka.

There's nothing on what happened with the Gokaiger 10 years I really know. I only knew a few bits. It's killing me not to know about any Marvelous and Luka stuff...if there is any...sigh...

Super sentai fans I’m so confuse! So basically they did a movie on super sentai gokaiger even after it season ended? Because I see it was made on 2019 but Shuriken Sentai Ninninger was the current season.
I’m assuming it’s because Super Sentai Gokaiger is just a popular season.
This should have been a Super MegaForce, Ninja Steel, and Dino Charge Power ranger movies. Troy Burrows x Gia Morran and Marvelous x Luka, RIP Jason David Frank super sentai and power rangers as Tommy Oliver died last year 1973 - 2022 very sad and heartbreaking for all his Japanese fans, friends and super sentai and power rangers family.

I mean there's sentai that should have been there....but I think it all depends on the actors they can get.
@@SashGirl34 Oh no that wasn’t what I meant, so say in which the individual members of a certain Sentai season were teamed up with other ones that were versing up against other seasons of members and the teams that win would be granted a wish and to fulfill whatever the wish they had in mind and that was the point of this series and it was also to determine which Sentai was the strongest (I think) but the question was what if the members refused to fight each other.

@@drew6117 I am just addressing more there not showing all of them because more they may not even be able to get their suit actors. Not anything about them refusing to go.
I mean I would think like Kotoha would be invited....however, perhaps nothing happens to them if they decline the indication because they don't need it. I like to believe some of Yamato's friends are looking after the kids as he fulfills the boy's wish...but then again it's more of a chance if all of them went....so I don't know. Leo to me is too selfish to even consider....I just don't care for him. Not even caring of Sela's sensitive hearing...
