BERNINA Embroidery Software Version 9 Installation Overview

This is a general walk through of the installation of BERNINA Version 9 Embroidery Software. Please note that all computers can be different, and the steps can be different based on the version/level you are upgrading from, so please follow the prompts on your screen and the Quick Start booklet in the box.
Installation Instructions for V9 Full Version, Update Version or Creator Version:
-Uninstall any previous versions of the BERNINA Embroidery Software, if present.
-Uninstall BERNINA Communications Service, if present.
-If COREL is installed, uninstall it.
-Locate the BERNINA and Corel folders on the C:\ drive and delete them (C:\Program Files(x86) ***THE NEW DIRECTORY FOR THE V9 SOFTWARE IS IN THE FOLLOWING PATH: C:\PROGRAM FILES***
-Reboot
-Log on to Windows as ADMINISTRATOR
-TURN OFF All firewalls and antivirus software running on the Windows platform.
-Go to User Accounts in Control Panel and move the slider all the way down to the bottom. *When installation is finished move the slide back to the default setting.*
-From the V9 Installation stick, locate the Setup.exe file, right click on the file and select Run as Administrator. Once the installation is finished, you will be asked to restart your computer.
-After rebooting computer click on the Green Corel SE icon to register with Corel. *Use the same email address that was used for Corel in the V8.2 software.*
-Start the V9 software and Activate it. Once it has finished activating, you will get a popup prompting you to link Corel SE to the software. You must click on Install link or Art Canvas will not work.
Installation is complete.

Usually if you right click on the antivirus software icon in the lower task bar, there is sometimes a setting to pause protection.
