You should have your fuill rotation way earlier than max level. Ofc people will be saying "but give beginners more time to learn their rotation" but thats actual bullshit, because they forget that there are people out there who just wont learn shit at all. No matter how much time you give them. Also that gives them more time to practise the full rotation before getting max level as well. Im not even talkint about min/maxing it. Im just talking about the roughly executed max level rotation loop. Also we have these new player arenas in the game that teach you the basics of every role. But there is nothing like that for the actual rotation. Im not saying you should put the optimal rotation in there but just teach them how to use it. For example NIN: explain them that they should use strong skills like Raiton, Hyosho etc inside of their TA window. How to prep. your TA before a burst.
oh absolutely, like you said most people dont learn shit and they dont ever bother even trying to learn or read their abilities so giving them most of their job at the early levels would not be a problem at all, it would be a really good thing cuz some of the jobs change sometimes even pretty drastically at certain levels like WAR with IR and BLM with Fire 4 and such. the main reason why i think this will never happen tho is that the devs try and keep all old raids and extremes "relevant" and trying to keep the jobs like they were back in the days, which is a huge curse in this game cuz no matter how much you try and make the jobs like they were back in the days they will never be like that, NEVER, so its a sad reality that we just need to accept. also the smith is a horrible guide for new players, it barely teaches the basics of your role but most of the time not even that, it doesnt teach shit
I agree with basically everything Rinon said in this. I hate playing jobs in low level so much that i won't do leveling roulette on the off chance i get something under level 60. I feel like I'm playing an entirely different, worse job for the next 20 minutes.
We should have our full kit once unlocked regardless of the dungeon/raid/trial/alliance level sync. Just lower/adjust the potencies to the sync'd level, and maybe raise the HP of the mobs/bosses with-in those instances. It's not rocket science, but SE acts as tho it is. Yes MMORPGs are one of the hardest; if not the hardest, kinds of games to make. But a "simple" QoL like this goes a long way to improve replayability of the lower level instances.
well PsO2 isn't that great of a game as is. So that bar in quality is easy to surpass imo kinda have to not care at all like those devs to truly mess things up to that point.@@WhiteGryphus
@@ikeaira8701 yeah this is how SE should do it ngl, this is how WoW does it aswell, the scaling sure is bad to the point where fresh level 15 does like 5x times more damage in early dungeon than a higher level one with most of their abilities unlocked, but who cares? its fun playing with a full kit, not the broken messes that you have at level 50/60/70, i dont think people care much about their damage output in early game dungeon, people just want to have fun...
This kind of treatment reminds me of gw2. They did a good job(kinda) in terms of level syncing, but it isn't a tank dps healer mmo, so idk how big the impact if ff change this.
I like the arr lower level dungeon changes. They made those dungeon a little less boring than they were in their antecedent iterations, and they go quicker.
They also need to change those 24 man lvl 50 dungeons, those are god awfully boring and easy too. I don’t even have to watch what’s going on, I just hit buttons, doesn’t matter the order, and we win. In between I watch youtube or some shit and when I look up from the video, dungeons is over. That’s terrible. XD
Honestly, not having an AoE at lower levels is a problem, but you can work around it, obviously, but I hate when people wall to wall when nobody has AoE. Granted, it's not that big of an issue. Stuff dies, but I feel hamstringed because I'm the job that can't AoE. It's just a bad player interaction all around. But in saying that, you've made good enough points to me.
Eh. Low levels do not last very long at all. Is it ideal for rushing through dungeons that you often have no AOE? No, it's not, but it's just not that big a deal. Not worth the effort it'd take to do anything about it.

Dungeons were dumbed down for the trust system. You know, for those solo players.

that's how level sync worked in old pso2's certain game modes but it worked horrendously.
sorry but i prefer how ff14 handles it.

It's still too long
the changes definitely fit the goal of making dungeons line up with what you can expect in the future
