Mike, you rescued a wounded truck that would likely have been scrapped and made it whole again…and had fun in the process. I’d rate that a success….. like anything else, it’s time to pass it on to the next owner so you can do other things. Looking forward to seeing what you have in store…
Duke deserves to be working low hours that truck really needs to be hauling loads you’ve done your part and saved it from setting for years it’s absolutely beautiful and a beast get out of debt and focus on Smokey and stubby right now great job Mike.👍👍👍✝️✝️✝️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦😎
Will be sad to see the old frac truck gone, but you have turned it around, done a good job and now it’s ready to go and feed another family! Will look forward to seeing the other truck move forward! Keep at it Mike👍🏻
Mike you did a great job bringing Duke from a soon to be junker to a real road truck! You should be proud of what you did for Duke! Now you give him the freedom to continue his destined heritage! As for the rest of your babies I love how you take care equally each rig as you bring them back to Life. Now you have the extra time and monies needed to work on the others! Keep up your great work and video's I look forward to each new one you put up! Great Job Master Trucker
Since I've been watching your channel over the past couple of years or so, my favourite series was your rebuilding Duke's engine, aside from the goat rope of removing the old engine -- at least no one was hurt. Good to hear he's going to a good home -- definitely a great truck.
You have done a great job with Duke. I do like it very much. At the end of the day it's a piece of machinery. I had to part with trucks over the years myself, that I wanted to keep. You can't let them pull at your heart strings. You bought Duke back from near death. Look at it now. Well done. I am waiting to see how the 359 goes. I like it very much. All the best, Dave
Not sure what to say. Bummer. You did a great job getting it to where it is now. Looking, running and sounding awesome. I know your love is with the cabovers. Keep 'em going.
Who ever buys that truck will be getting a great used tractor, thanks to you, it's got a lot of life in it providing the new owner takes pride and keeps up with the maintenance.
With the love and care you put into Duke it is sad to see him go its like seeing one of your kids go off into the world but like you said you know he needs to work and he is going to a good home
I remember when all you could buy was the pine tree air fresheners. It was definitely a toss up on what smelled worse. The smell you were covering up or the pine tree air freshener . Have a great day all .
Hi Mike, good to see you're letting Duke get out and about. Sorry to see him go, but I can understand your reasoning. I like to say that I may not drive big trucks for a living, But I do live to drive big trucks! Vintage farm trucks are one of my passions. Thanks for the videos and I look forward to see what's ahead down the road.
Nice truck, you did good, I like your project trucks, especially the 359 and your channel. Vanilla Rama air fresheners, they say the mice stay away from them, I am a Black Ice guy myself.
Totally understand, you have done a fantastic job on Duke. You know we buy classic vehicles to fix and usually pass along to others. I'm sure the new owners will treasure it and probably put their own touches on it and keep on the process of making it a Diamond in the rough. You saved what probably would have been a scrapper and should be proud of what it became. You're cheer when you first started it is the most classic cheer of all time!
Great video Mike really enjoy your videos. It's sad to see Duke go but it'll help you fix the other trucks and get them closer to completion. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Mike.
You know Mike it's really sad that you have to get rid of ol' Duke after all the work you've done to it. There are very few people like you that work on these old trucks on UA-cam that just do it for the love of them... You don't do it to work them you don't own a trucking company to help finance the work you're doing, it all comes out of your own pocket... You do it just for the love of the trucks and their history and you don't see that much anymore usually people have a agenda for doing what you are trying to do... Well hopefully this will be the only time you have to get rid of one of your trucks to keep doing what you love to do...I for one love and appreciate what you're doing....❤❤
Thanks, yeah I really didn't want to sell Duke. Especially since I may never get a low mileage truck like it again. But it's better to let it work and make someone a living. If I could I'd have a huge warehouse and keep them all.
Mike you rescued and transformed Duke from an ugly truck to a good looking functioning one. I recall you saying before you bought Duke because you couldn't afford a 359 or 379 and now you have a 359. Fly the flag for JB weld and cash out on Duke to help out the family and fund the other projects.
Greetings from NYC. It's very, very hard to part with something you've spent a lot of time, energy and money into. You bought a truck that needs a total makeover, and now, it's time to get rid of it. I feel the same way here. I found an ebike out in the street a few months ago, I was in process of getting it up and running. But other matters came up. So now, I must get rid it.
You’ve come far, Mike. I remember the “Kaboom” on the way home with your “fleet maintained” purchase. Your Dad helped some, but you worked your way through the engine repair, and it seems to have come out pretty fair. Speaking of your Dad, ask him about the interest rates back in the old days. I understand with recent changes, they are up near the highs of old. I distinctly remember 23.5 per cent, but I don’t remember if that was the peak. Would you have any use for another Cummins 444 engine? Condition unknown, right now. Be at least a couple months before I can check it out. I want the truck, but not the engine. Also, is it possible to order major parts through you, have them invoiced, and pick them up in the US? I guess that is not as interesting for you folks, now that your sales limitations have been lifted. Don’t go crazy with your pricing on Duke. Get yourself a repeat customer. Good luck and take care.
Some times you have to get rid of one to take care of the others keep your head up hi and keep up the good work we will miss duke but sometimes you just have to do it
It'll be a great truck for someone else. I'm excited for the things to come with the others. I came here for the cabovers, way back in the beginning, but I'm looking forward to the 359 too.
I gone Miss Duke kaboom but you gotta do what you Gotta do to make your project better. I know you worked very hard on that truck, putting a rebuild engine in it painted it and everything else. Maybe you’ll get another truck down the road can build just like you did on Duke kaboom
Sorry you need to get rid of Duke, but like you ssid, you can be super proud of the truvk it became!! Great job, and chin up, you have more to do to become proud of!!
Gonna miss Duke but it’s for the greater good of the other trucks. Now maybe Kenny can get stretched out. Great content love the channel. Your dad is the best. God bless.
Sound decision. You will have done a great job once you level out the rear mudflaps!! Time to release some funds to spend on finishing one of the others. Get the number down to 3 or 4 then buy another. Don't do a James Pretty!!
Mike, Noticed while you were driving to work, and home, that there is a yellow dash light shining, about in the middle. What is that light for, and should you worry about it.????
Well it was a fun project to watch and came out nice but you know it didn’t really fit in with all the other trucks it’s to new and has a hood a short hood at that the 359 will be cool well because it’s a 359 lol
That's a good question 🤔 you need an air brakes endorsement and I belive you will need a cdl unless it was registered as an rv. It cost me $300 for three months of insurance
I know how much it means to you and you know why its going. Thinking to yourself, will the driver care for it like you do and how much will they do to change its looks. I don't know who coined the phrase of a seat for every driver and a driver for every seat. Not even sure if it applies here. My point is, its a good point of selling this rig, as like a boat, just a spot for money to pour into. What I am getting at is letting go before the investment is so deep you can't recover money put into it. Your going to have a bit of remorse but its natural. Kiss the bride and remember other trucks in the fleat help heal this wound

You did a great job on Duke!! Totally understand selling it to support the restoration of the others. Keep up the great work Mike!
Thanks 👍

Sorry to hear about losing Duke😢 But like you said. You have more cool trucks. Be proud of your build. Ole Duke Kaboom will live on. ❤

Yeah that was a bit sketchy for sure. Hopefully I can inframe smokey so no big lifting required
I have to say I'm going to miss the Duke but you have six other trucks to worry about, keep up the good work Mike .
Thanks Randy
I think it's the right call. You can't keep everything@@mikethetrucknut
You have done a lovely job on duke and putting money towards the others isn’t a bad thing
Lets all share Mikes channel on our timeline to show our friends what Mike has going on.
You have done a great job with Duke. I do like it very much. At the end of the day it's a piece of machinery. I had to part with trucks over the years myself, that I wanted to keep. You can't let them pull at your heart strings. You bought Duke back from near death. Look at it now. Well done.

Hey Mike ... ya gotta do what ya gotta do 😁 its not like you have none left
Old ones are just AWSOMER !
Love the sounds of a turbo
Not sure what to say. Bummer. You did a great job getting it to where it is now. Looking, running and sounding awesome. I know your love is with the cabovers. Keep 'em going.

An old boot cleaned up makes a fantastic cup holder for tumblers!
You did a great job bring Duke back Mike, now let’s get the cabovers back in shape.
10:4 bought drive lines for stubby this week
With the love and care you put into Duke it is sad to see him go its like seeing one of your kids go off into the world but like you said you know he needs to work and he is going to a good home
Yeah
Least now duke is going to be doing what he was meant to do ,good job on the restoration work you and your dad did.
I remember when all you could buy was the pine tree air fresheners.
It was definitely a toss up on what smelled worse. The smell you were covering up or the pine tree air freshener .
Have a great day all .
They used to make Lavender and Powder scented pine trees that I liked in my trucks. I can't find them anymore, but I don't drive truck anymore either.
Duke was the nicest of all of them I hope you got 50k
Well you did such a nice job with Duke you know you can do just as nice a job with Smokey,Old Blue,Stubby,Kenny,K2 and Low N Slow..
Sad but necessary , it'll be hard to see her go , you and your dad did a brilliant job getting her heart beating again . Onwards and upwards Mike!!

The Duke has come a long way and was my favorite but I can understand you can't keep them all.

Yes! The cabovers are my first love .
Think you made the right choice mike
Burrrrr that's still cold.
Smart move. More funds for the other trucks and they need it. Nothing wrong with fixing up and selling.
Nice truck
Everything ok Mike
Hi Mike great videos sorry it sad news but to many projects to build. Need to support family
Duke was the one truck I liked, sad to see it go.I am not really a fan of cabovers to be honest but to each there own.
Glad I still have the 359
Id love to have a Peterbilt here in New Zealand, They are rare breed here, Kenworth is the next best truck but nothing beats Peterbilt.
Hopefully you can find Duke a good home...
8 hours later, call that a day’s work! 🤣
Good morning Mike!! Greets from Tsawwassen Terminal 😊
Morning!
@@mikethetrucknut Selling the truck gives you a lot of other opportunities 😋😋🤠
We will miss Duke Mike
Where is your backup buzzer on that truck
I gone Miss Duke kaboom but you gotta do what you Gotta do to make your project better. I know you worked very hard on that truck, putting a rebuild engine in it painted it and everything else. Maybe you’ll get another truck down the road can build just like you did on Duke kaboom

Sorry about. Duke buddy
I think that a big sleeper is coming soon
Sorry you need to get rid of Duke, but like you ssid, you can be super proud of the truvk it became!! Great job, and chin up, you have more to do to become proud of!!
The first video I watched of yours was daily driving Kenny to work. That was 3 months ago :)
Roll of duct tape on the floor makes good cup holder been using one for years never spilt a cup
Gonna miss Duke but it’s for the greater good of the other trucks. Now maybe Kenny can get stretched out. Great content love the channel. Your dad is the best. God bless.
Thanks, yes the cabovers are #1
Sound decision. You will have done a great job once you level out the rear mudflaps!! Time to release some funds to spend on finishing one of the others. Get the number down to 3 or 4 then buy another. Don't do a James Pretty!!
You did a great job, don't get attached to a truck, or any vehicle for that matter, someone wants low and slow, your a truck salesmen ..lol
Good morning from wyoming
I'm in Wyoming as well.. where ?
@@hughstephenson2957 worland
@@MatthewLacroix-v4x I was born and raised in Greybull.. I live east of Gillette now.
Little Trees, best air freshner. Made in Watertown, NY
You should take that sale money and get a drop deck to haul them toys to the shows
You and your dad did a great job.. can't keep them all? So good business decisions. It's worth all of 60 g in this market. So let him work..
Mike plz go back and save that other peterbilt 362 that Pete 362E model where you found stubby.
You have to do what you have to in order to finance your other projects...
I always wonder if Mike should have caffeine
You gotta sell something Andrea is gonna cut your weekly allowance she's got a husband that spends money like it grows on trees 😂
Lol, Andrea likes the cabovers more so.... 😉
Just wondering, do you have canteen trucks where you are,we have them them in Ontario.
polish that grill brother...
Mike, Noticed while you were driving to work, and home, that there is a yellow dash light shining, about in the
middle. What is that light for, and should you worry about it.????
It's for the load lights on the back of sleeper I put red bulbs in so It looks neat.
Well it was a fun project to watch and came out nice but you know it didn’t really fit in with all the other trucks it’s to new and has a hood a short hood at that the 359 will be cool well because it’s a 359 lol
Well goodby Duke........................
You seem to have the same issue that Dane Scott has with space... It is what it is I guess...
It's a dream of mine 1 day to get a semi to daily first I need to be able to afford the fuel.
Yeah that's the big issue.
You could say you are replacing Duke with Old Blue in a way...
What is it with the red dash light?
💯
No no no keep it and use it to haul your other trucks to truck shows. I get it really but i had 2 kw cabovers and to this day i regret it.😊
I need to tow with a k100 because they are to tall lol.
😎👍
it pays to NOT work the same hours as everyone else.
so very much you drive the truck like a regular car i believe that you insurance is cheap lol
How much to insure for personal use and do you need a cdl for it
That's a good question 🤔 you need an air brakes endorsement and I belive you will need a cdl unless it was registered as an rv. It cost me $300 for three months of insurance
If you have this truck,in a 2014 modal I would like to have one of those, thanks BigAl California.
Hate to say it but,….you could sell a corvette 😮
I really don't want you to sale duke its a good truck
I know how much it means to you and you know why its going. Thinking to yourself, will the driver care for it like you do and how much will they do to change its looks.
