There may be no Christmas Maze this year, and therefore no Robert S. Pearson's trademark Christmas Mince Pies. Yet they still managed to let Rob eat two of them on camera before the end of the year. The yearly mince pie quota has been achieved, unfortunately there is no trophy for it.
Omg, I heard Rob said mince pie and immediately linked it to Christmas Maze...came to the comment section just to find out there will not be one this year. The horror!!!
As someone who has the Rebirth Platinum, Rob is really underselling the difficulty of the 7-Star Hotel trophy. Since he didn't mention the fact that you also need to complete Chadleys Combat Simulator, which was the hardest part of that Trophy. But i do agree Queens Blood is amazing and is prob the 2nd or 3rd best minigame in the Final Fantasy series
Yeah I got the plat too the legendary and brutal Sims were insane I was stuck on rulers and the Zack one for like two weeks each that was with best of every set up and maxed out
I second this 👌 I have the platinum and Chadleys simulator battles were horrendous. I wasn't too bad at the mini games, although that flying chocobo game can get in the bin 😅
I totally agree that the Chadley battle challenges were a major factor in getting the platinum, but for me, just like with Remake, the hardest part was defeating my ultimate nemesis Jules. Guy slaughtered me on both games for a good chunk of time... I even had nightmares of him laughing and being the best gym bro ever 😅
6:55 Aside from the extraction time period, my buddies and I got this trophy in about 36 seconds. To be clear, from landing to "extract now" was 36 seconds. We landed in the extraction zone where we had one guy do nothing but set up turrets and wait to call the evac shuttle. The rest of us went north, east, and south with our 500 kg bombs and our orbital lasers. All about the planning. :)
I really want to platinum FF7 rebirth but my god... the 7 star hotel Gold trophy is literally another trophy list within the game with 88 tasks to do including doing ALL the brutal/legendary combat simulations which are insanely hard.
I got the platinum in Rebirth and damn was it satisfying. I totally get it though. It’s a time consuming platinum that was very strenuous. But damn I loved every minute of it
Highly agreed with you buddy. It actually ruined the game for me specifically the brutal/legendary combat simulations. Every minute was just so frustrating that I had to watch a playthrough guide that I do not normally do just to get past that awful and tedious battle simulation.
Im kinda proud of myself to have 2 of those. Dragons Dogma and Balatro :) Balatro took about 230 hours of my time to platinum it, but gave so much more. Easily my favorite game of the last 5 years :D
I used to watch PlayStation Access near enough everyday as a kid and coming back to them and seeing Rosie ( knowing her as caddicarus’ sister and seeing her in his older videos) is so wholesome to me since she knows her PlayStation pretty well :)
The last time I went after a trophy was 'Shadow' in Dishonored. It took me ages to complete and after that I decided to just play and don't look at trophies ever again. So now all throphies I have are accidentally gained and that's perfectly fine by me.
Helldivers 2 “we’ll call that a draw” has been much harder for me- you need to destroy both of a hulks arms, then extract…..but nowadays the extraction shuttle will easily kill a full health hulk as it leaves…..so I’m really unclear how it’s meant to be done now.
My girlfriend unironically thinks JarJar is the best Star Wars character. She was cracking up at every single one of his lines in episode I. Is this a red flag?
In FFVII Rebirth, the 7 star trophy, the mini games aren't even the hard part. The hard part is the brutal and legendary VR challenges. I got 87/88 of the collection done. All I need are those VR challenges. I spent 3 months trying and learning how to do Helions Intonement. I finally beat it but, then 2 weeks of The Seventh Seal. I just gave up. My trophy count for FFVII Rebirth will now always be at 88%.
I took a break and came back. Cloud vs. The Warriors was my big hang up and Rulers of the Outer World. I have three challenges left now but yeah, it is beyond insanity.
On my way to get this 7-Star Hotel trophy in FFVII Rebirth. After I’ve completed the game I was shocked to find out that so many people on the Internet complain about the mini-games in general and the fact that they prevent them from getting platinum in this game. What a shocking revelation that in some games platinums are meant to be challenging, right?😂 Anyway, except for Gears and Gambits every mini-game was a rather charming experience😊
@@SorceressHeartThat depends on the game. In most open-world Ubisoft-like games it’s literally “I’ve cleared all on this map” but in a lot of games getting platinum requires a lot of perseverance and time. For example, I’ve platinumed MGS4 which requires you to play the game around 8-9 times to get all the iPod-tracks. Would I rage about it being that hard? Of course not, the game is perfect and it was my decision to go for the plat. I personally believe that the same logic goes with FFVII Rebirth
I think the problem people have is that they are mini games and not the game itself. That's like, say, there being a trophy to complete Bloodborne without taking damage but there is a mini game completely unrelated that plays nothing like the rest of it that stops you.
@@whitedeath996 Well, it’s strange that all that rage comes specifically to Rebirth because there’re plenty of platinum trophies that require from the player to do different activities. Literally, devs can add anything they want to the trophy list, there’s no some rule which prohibits them from doing so. We have poker trophy in RDR2, Gwent-related trophies in Witcher 3. Nothing new under the sun
Haven't played any of these games. I currently have 118 plats and working on The Witcher 3 plat atm. Don't know how many I earned this year but it's been a lot. 😂 Though Nine Sols looks exactly the type of game I would play so definitely will be getting that one! Thanks. ❤
FF7R: Cactuar crush with Aerith was the hardest one for me. Even harder than 3D brawler secret round. Is the trombone song "Let it snow?" Other hard trophies: I can only think of the platinum trophy for The Last Descendant. It's not hard per se, but it involves getting a character to max level, then resetting them back to level 1 and doing it all over again, twice. Possible, but not likely.
Gone in 360 seconds is easy enough, land in the biggest red part of the map one of you should head to Extraction to clear it up, the rest go about completing the mission quickly with Barrage Orbitals on where you landed. Once mission is completed the person who is at extraction dials in for extraction whilst the rest make it there as quickly as possible. Make sure to have a timer set for 6 minutes before starting the mission, make sure you are playing a Blitz mission on Extreme ONLY and make sure one player in your squad is using the Expert Pilot Booster to shorten the Extraction time.
7 Star Hotel is the reason I haven't played many games this year. It is insane. Just have 3 challenges in Chadley's Brutal and Legendary simulations left.
Astro Bot's platinum trophy 🏆 my goodness those secret circle, triangle, square and cross levels were so challenging. Doesn't help they didn't have checkpoints haha
My worst trophies in 2024 are currently “Perilous Portal” and “King of the Dead” from Marvel Rivals, due to the fact that one is bugged and the other is hard to do because the map required to do it on, never shows up.
Got a fair amount of plats this year, most frustrating was probs FFVII rebirth... longest was cities skylines, my fav BG3 (including honour mode)! Most proud was Enter the Gungeon!
Is beating erlang on black myth wukong a trophy? That has to be one of the hardest. Havent tried it myself, haven’t even got the game yet because I’ve been waiting for the disc to come out, but heard that’s very hard as well
for me this year out of 17 platinum trophies i earned, the one that stood out was probably ff7remake on hard mode but im currently on my initial rebirth playthrough and hard mode on that might be harder 😅 (hope not)
That Helldivers trophy is pretty simple. Orbital laser + eagle airstrike, everyone runs in different directions, run back. Did it with 2 people in bout 3 min
Chadley didn't design challenges torturers would be shy to use for you to complain about the minigames! (You're right though, Sephiroth in the 3d brawler was so hard 😭 even using the pause cheese)
It's such a beating to get. I only got the Cloud/Zach one by "luck." Finished Odin after a Zanket with Zach's limit. It was epic, and like my 20th try in a row.
I'm so nearly there on the ff7 rebirth trophy done almost everything. I'm just unbelievable stuck on the hard mode rufus fight, I must have been at it for 10 hours on its own, but no way am I giving up now
Well at least, I can say I did earn the Dragon's Dogma 2 trophies and the Helldivers 2 trophy that one I got in a solo run. I feel proud of myself for those. Haven't try the others, mostly because I do not own those games but even if I did, just listening to their descriptions? Yeah no, not for me.
Brought up Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and didn't mention Chadley's combat simulator?! Just shows they didn't even come close to completing that trophy as the mini games are significantly easier than the Brutal and Legendary challenges.
I have returned to Sackboy this week, and I am determined to get the String it together, trophy. Ngl, it is breaking me. I dont understand why I haven't got it yet. Horrible trophy.
I just want to say, I have played Balatro for 10 hours and barely got my 2nd trophy…no I haven’t even won a run yet. Good thing I love Poker or I would have given up on this game.
Funny enough, i got the platinum trophy for Nine Sols during the Video game award. This game is absolutely masterful. Amazing year for playstation and congratulation to Astro Bot 🏆

What you mean no Xmas maze
There better be!!!
There is no Christmas Maze this year. They have something equally brilliant planned in its place.
Heartbroken.

Maybe he didn’t get to those yet 😂 but yeah, those challenges really were brutal. Amazing game and satisfying platinum though 🙌🏼
Dave genuinely looked surprised by Rosie's JarJar comment. Almost as though it wasn't in the script.... just to get a natural reaction! 🤣
I’m sure the script just said, “at this point, Rosie will make an absolutely absurd claim…”
@joels5150 the most ridiculous claim of 2024!
I was too distracted by the hole on the knee of her trousers to notice...

yeah, that game is about good planning, not about fighting harder.
I'm at the age that whenever I hear the words "even harder," "difficult," and/or "nearly impossible," I don't even try.
Have you played Elden Ring?
@The.Host_XOnot at all
I really want to platinum FF7 rebirth but my god... the 7 star hotel Gold trophy is literally another trophy list within the game with 88 tasks to do including doing ALL the brutal/legendary combat simulations which are insanely hard.
The brutal challange and the chocobo dive mini game are so frustating

Search Optinoob. His builds for the combat challenges makes it a cake walk.
Be strong. I'm almost done with Legendary and Brutal Challenges. It is a nightmare though. Taken me all year!
Im kinda proud of myself to have 2 of those. Dragons Dogma and Balatro :)

0:20 beverly had spoken... now we wait for robs barbie dancing princes lets play 😅
Very pleased to have gotten the Helldivers 2 trophy and later the platinum. Thank you to that random online squad 🎉
That Trombone Unflattened stream was hilarious. It's cool to see trophy videos about recent games.
i just like listening to this british guy ramble about video games 😊
My favourite of the bunch
Helldivers 2 “we’ll call that a draw” has been much harder for me- you need to destroy both of a hulks arms, then extract…..but nowadays the extraction shuttle will easily kill a full health hulk as it leaves…..so I’m really unclear how it’s meant to be done now.

no it's a purple flag. What does that mean though? :D
Dump, block and run my friend D: that’s a scary person right there!!
Yes, it's literally the character in the most poor taste in the entire ip.
@ at least she is enjoying herself
0:40 That one mince pie was almost an outtake 😆

No harm in using guides to help. They’re all doable with the right set up and strategy. The last one is the real tough one.
I've done all those trophies... is what someone who has done all those trophies would say.
I haven't.

i barely watched any ps access video for the last 2-3 years, and tbh i'm glad Rob is still healthy and kicking. live long and prosper to you, Rob
Getting Seven star hotel as your last trophy gives you the best platinum video ever.
"Thank you so much bro for everything!"
That Trombone one is diabolical😂 How do you do that without laughing😂
"She'll be Coming Round the Mountain when She Comes" was the song i believe
I really like these trophy videos. Keep them coming!
i'm missing 2 items from johnnys hotel, it's the fricken chadley brutal challenges. THOSE are the true issues with that rebirth trophy
Been battling it all year. Have three challenges left in the simulator.
Haven't played any of these games. I currently have 118 plats and working on The Witcher 3 plat atm. Don't know how many I earned this year but it's been a lot. 😂
Though Nine Sols looks exactly the type of game I would play so definitely will be getting that one! Thanks. ❤
I went from completing Astro Bot’s new Christmas level to watching the new Friday feature!
hello youve caught me again watching another checklist by rob
FF7R: Cactuar crush with Aerith was the hardest one for me. Even harder than 3D brawler secret round.

Astro Bot's platinum trophy 🏆 my goodness those secret circle, triangle, square and cross levels were so challenging. Doesn't help they didn't have checkpoints haha
Hello Rob,
We love you 🎉
I hope to catch you again next week.
I really enjoyed the platinum for Dragons Dogma 2, a good mixture of things to do!
8:39 I have one collectible left! Gotta work up the will to do the brutal and legendary Chadley challenges
Is beating erlang on black myth wukong a trophy? That has to be one of the hardest. Havent tried it myself, haven’t even got the game yet because I’ve been waiting for the disc to come out, but heard that’s very hard as well
So proud of myself, that I at least got entry number 5. Only got stopped by the glitch that prevent me to beat the shinra manager. And QB ofcourse 😉
Rebirth... Oh boy... you obviously haven't seen the Chadley challenges you ALSO need to do for that trophy :D
for me this year out of 17 platinum trophies i earned, the one that stood out was probably ff7remake on hard mode but im currently on my initial rebirth playthrough and hard mode on that might be harder 😅 (hope not)
Was the song El Jarabe Tapatio?
That Helldivers trophy is pretty simple. Orbital laser + eagle airstrike, everyone runs in different directions, run back. Did it with 2 people in bout 3 min
I only beat Balatro once and it took all the effort I could muster. I don't see a plat in my future.
Queen’s Blood deserves its own game or a physical version. It’s soooo good! Favorite mini game in Rebirth!
Outlast 2 Messiah Trophy!! Stopping me from getting the Platinum 🥺
Chadley didn't design challenges torturers would be shy to use for you to complain about the minigames! (You're right though, Sephiroth in the 3d brawler was so hard 😭 even using the pause cheese)
I know what Rob was trying to play on that trumpet game, but don't know what it's called and don't know how to explain it to look it up. 😅
I'm just missing Chadleys trophy in Rebirth.
It's such a beating to get. I only got the Cloud/Zach one by "luck." Finished Odin after a Zanket with Zach's limit. It was epic, and like my 20th try in a row.
I have Dragon’s Dogma 2 platinum. Glad to see it here
my biggest fear is looking through my subscriptions on youtube one day and seeing a stream entitled "Goodbye Rob" ...
I'm so nearly there on the ff7 rebirth trophy done almost everything. I'm just unbelievable stuck on the hard mode rufus fight, I must have been at it for 10 hours on its own, but no way am I giving up now
00:00 "hello you caught me thinking about things that are hard..."
Dont take out of context. Dont take out of context. Dont take out of context.
The helldivers trophy I can attest to, but if you get the right team, they can help you for sure!
I have the helldivers one. We played for like 2 hours and by the end had a perfect strategy
Rob’s face in the thumbnail is his reaction to anyone saying FF XI is the best Final Fantasy
I am still working on unlocking everything in Balatro and I've had the game since it came out. I suspect I'm not going to get this trophy.
Final Fantasy Plat, was so hard. The Chadley and Jules was the most difficult.
Rob finding any excuse to write in the script:
**Rob eats mince pie**
I don't remember getting that many plats this year, but my wrap-up says I got 18. Need to check those receipts.
Im struggling with the trophy for sly cooper on the new ps5 port for completing 10 time trials
Rob's sweater of blinding, +1 radiant damage.
You didn't even mention the hardest part from the Rebirth Johnny trophy, Chadleys VR sim was much more difficult than the mini games😂
Rosie - "Jar Jar is the best character."
shotgun reload noice
If Silksong made it... it would definitely be in this list, just thinking about Pantheon again makes me hide in fear..
What song was Rob trying to play? I honestly could not tell.
I have a physical special edition of Balatro on the way, but I may never open it after seeing this trophy. 😂
We get a trophy every time we watch an entire Friday Feature 🏆
The only thing I'm missing for the FF7R one is the legendary bouts in Chadley's mission. I'm so over it...
I’m surprised “Deep Pockets” from The Finals didn’t make the list
Was the song All Star?
I can't be the only one who shouted "That's what she said" during the intro...
My hardest one was playing favourites for crash team rumble. Takes ages getting to level 15
Wait.. 1:05 is that Rosie?
Well it wouldn't be a Friday Feature without talking about trophies every once in awhile.
Damn that psx christmas sweater is cool
Difficulty is fine. Toughness becomes frustrating. A real challenge makes you wish for just plain difficulty again because at least that's achievable.
Brought up Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and didn't mention Chadley's combat simulator?! Just shows they didn't even come close to completing that trophy as the mini games are significantly easier than the Brutal and Legendary challenges.
How are you going to bring up rebirth & fail to mention the piano mini game tho!
Yes!!! Love for Jar Jar!❤
The hardest plat was Concord 🤭

We’re all thinking the same thing, aren’t we ?
The trombone one is currently bugged….so even if you’ve done it, you haven’t….cannot wait for it to be fixed.
You forgot to mention Chadley on the 7* Hotel!!
I have returned to Sackboy this week, and I am determined to get the String it together, trophy. Ngl, it is breaking me. I dont understand why I haven't got it yet. Horrible trophy.
The gone in 360 seconds is better done alone on a bot planet. Bring orbital strikes, toss and sprint. I finished it in 4 minutes
Agreed, Astro Bot certainly was a great game to win GOTY for this year. What I'm happiest about though is that they didn't snub Black Myth: Wukong, since it was at least a nominee for GOTY and won Best Action Game. I'm content with that.
Just thought I'd come here and let everyone know I don't have a single platinum
Got a nice and easy plat from dragon's dogma 2 this year.
I do remember this trophy on ps3 in DAO kill 1000 darkspawn you can totaly do it if you play the game and their dlc's ! But the trophy is bugged! You need to do it in one go that is a 40 hours + game!😂
Bro, why put yourselves through all that? I don't have the time man damn. 😂😂😂😂
And now I want a playstation Xmas sweater
Omg I got the gone in 360 seconds trophy on helldivers 🎉
If you see this
Hello you've caught me being early
Nine Souls is out on PS5? *grabs credit card*
Legitimately good luck on that last one.🤣🤣🤣🤣
