My copy of Confessions arrived a few weeks ago. Great album and this is a favourite.

Rio on the bass is more up front on this song and it gives the song a different feel.
She composed the music... :) A groovy song like this one is a bassist song.
Watching a garage band workout with some rock and punk touches. Something tells me they had some fun with this one. Nice to see serious musicians not take themselves too seriously!! A fun track but we all know what you are capable of so a change of pace as usual from great bands. Any doubt put on Marionette and then Campanula to see how this group loves to switch it up. Waiting for the album arrival to see how many other surprises are packed into it.
There's one more surprise like High FivU! The album is great, i enjoy it alot. It's slightly darker, not counting surprises. First track became favorite track of 2019 for me, in no time. I would say, the most magnificent thing about whole album is Eye. (i know it sounds weird lol)
@@kiminonamae6075 Wow thanks for the heads up. My copy is due in the next couple of days so I will really be ready to go. Eye is great and her vocals make the band, I know Saki gets a lot of attention and rightfully so, but honestly Rio's bass playing is something a lot of non fans pickup on often. A lot of the other bands are always in a state of flux these days so I am happy these women get along and enjoy playing with each other. Would love to see them LIVE, still hoping for a Japanese Metal Festival some where in the US (likely the West Coast) that I could get to see some great bands.
@@jmetallover One thing to note, if you expect something like Scarlet, you might be disappointed. Whole thing is a lot experimental. Let's say - less than half of tracks (5) sound like "old good Mary's Blood". It got lot of hate even from japanese diehard metalheads, even though girls warned about that in advance (and seems they dont give a fk about amazon customer reviews lol).
They even use electronics beats in some parts (sparingly and very well placed imo), even from this MV you can clearly see it's something very new.
I am not metalhead, although i listen to lot of metal. I am diehard Aldious fan (to put it plainly - much more fan of Aldious, than Judas Priest). For that darker sound, for variety of genres. This album exactly hits the nail on the head for me. MB even kinda follows pattern established by "A" cheesy pop/punky/fun in the mid etc. It's not so cohesive as "proper metal album", it's quite colorful.
And it's supposed to be kind of experiment/study about darkness (even those funny things) theres some interview around, where Eye explains why, lyrics and everything. This is the opening track - exactly my cup of tea ua-cam.com/video/TJSObY161p4/v-deo.html
So any aproach with "supposed to" just won't work. I really love it. And Eye does some stellar job, insane.
@@kiminonamae6075 Thank you. I have no issue with experimental albums as long as the band has good musicianship I am a go for a try it and see. I range from Folk (McKennitt) to Hendrix to Nightwish with lots of the old 60's and 70's rock so experimenting is good. I do appreciate the heads up and ,I like you, ignore the reviews. My attitude of don't tell me let me make up my own mind. I'll let you know my reaction after a couple of listens (always give an album at least 3/4 passes to really get the full impact of the work done by the artist(s).
@@jmetallover Same here. Classic music playing piano since youth - powermetal deathmetal played bass few years - folk (f.e. Varttina) - dnb dj for 6 years etc etc. LOL.
And yea it definitely takes more passes. But the first track stays as earworm, those heavy riffs like Sweet temptation.
I think they start shipping to the west 19th. I was lucky that my coworker was returning from Japan, so i got it week sooner.
