Term's debated. While it's mostly used to describe more hardcore-based "emo" bands - Alexisonfire would be a better example than FFAF - some think it should be used to describe post-rock influenced hardcore. Usually, however, it's just a term for less pop-sounding emo.

@matt926uk1 i am sure this would be a lot harder, fair enough tennis would be hard, but you can take a break, you can make a mistake, who cares? on stage you cant take a break, and if you make a mistake, 10000 people will notice and hold it against you
matured? saw em at leeds, not denying they are decent...but they pld almost all old songs. Saw a decent emo band... unless by matured u mean changed their clothes?
