Basic Mandala Elements, Design, Shapes, and Practice

- Here's how I practice the basic mandala elements and shapes. This is also how I design new elements for my next mandala painting. I use the first row to practice the basic shapes like, dot, walking the dots, teardrop, petal, swoosh, etc. I use the remaining boxes to mix and match the shapes or twist and turn them into a new to me design. Hopefully, I'll end up with a few unique designs that I can use in my next mandala dot art painting. I bet you see a couple or more of these on my next video. I haven't painted it yet but I just pulled out a Brainstorm page for a 4.5" rock and I've got my Design Practice sheet for inspiration... wish me luck!

Great idea! It's great to have something like this to refer to when you get stuck- which happens sometimes... I hardly ever plan my mandalas (aside from a color theme) and having that practice chart will help. I'm gonna go make one today! I absolutely vote for you posting more like this! Thank you Dawn… I was so hesitant to post this. In fact, I almost didn’t. I just told myself that this was the video I couldn’t find when I started and maybe someone could use it. Im new at planning out mandalas but I’ll tell ya.. through this I think I created myself a brand new puzzle game, lol. Join me Sunday to see what I do with this.
