H/H match update: ... ~~~Today's action: Our champion didn't even need a second-round question to win her third game. *Today's audience match question: "Picture of________"* (My thoughts: Health, Dorian Gray, Happiness) The celebs: Richard (Health), Fannie (Love), Charles (Dorian Gray) The choice: Health The answers: The Year, Dorian Gray, Health On her third try at the audience match, she finally gets the top answer! But not much drama waiting for her H/H choice. She picked King Richard the two previous times (and they matched the first time). Stats: Richard has matched 89 of his 209 most recent attempts (42.6%), 72 of his last 166 attempts (43.4%), 28 of his last 69 attempts (40.6%), and 9 of his last 26 attempts (34.6%). His overall success rate is *41.8%* and this is his 687th attempt so far. Dick Martin and Conny Van Dyke haven't answered any H/H questions yet. *Today's H/H question: "________Tennis"* (This one should be easy. Table Tennis. I can't even really think of a decent second choice. Mixed-doubles tennis?) Richard looks toward Fannie even as he writes his answer. He quickly files it. Confident today. The champion looks a bit uncertain, but she has before and has still given good answers. She prefaces her answer with a disclaimer, saying she knows she's not going to win today. Her answer sounds like "courts" tennis to me, but Gene repeats "court" tennis. The difference doesn't matter today, because neither one is a likely response from Richard. Second day in a row I match Richard: "Table". No H/H match today. ~~~Finally, here's our updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: (Note: An asterisk before a celebrity's name signifies that she has "retired" from the show and her H/H stats are now complete.) (Note: For tied scores, I consider the one with the greater number of matches to be higher; if the matches are equal, the celeb who first achieved that score goes on top.) Love you Conny. If u r getting offended he might be too. I hope these people realize it's all in jest Gene meant no harm. Yes Gene that's y Conny was offended she has a southern accent. Take a cue from her u went too far
I thought it was strange they were giving the blonde contestant another shot so shortly after episode 1039. Nope. Same hair, but not the same person. Haha
I lived in North Carolina for 6 years and it is very challenging to understand some of the natives. They have a very different way of speaking vs others in southern states. It takes some practice listening, communicating with to pick it up to understand and it's still hard if not use to it. Have you ever listened to Jamaicans communicate with each other???? They speak BROKEN English. I can only understand about 10% of their communication with each other. And when they speak to American etc they change their way of speaking to ours so we can understand them. I think Gene was just simply frustrated to understand him. He only has seconds to communicate in each segment of the show. I wouldn't call him an asshole over it.
Fannie Flagg, if you were a country I would plant my flag next to your Flagg. Where to plant my flag, not too sure where my flag should be, but I want my flag next to your Flagg. 10-28-2021
I get REALLY tired of Gene & the rest making fun of southern accents! Also what was the big idea of tracing letter A & B to explain what they meant? Never seen that before. He was treating him like he was illiterate and too ignorant to play the game!
Yes, Gene has traced the letter A and B before, several times. I think it is from when the lady said one letter and Gene pulled the other one and then made fun of himself for pulling the wrong one back MG73 I believe.
@@accam6734 You are right ! However, every time I watch Match Game, it reminds me what the winning is all about … the contestant and the celebrity must keep exactly in order to win … look at Match Game 78 Episode 1272 with Avery Schreiber as he tries to match ____ miles with the contestant … he did not wrote anything specific ..however, what Avery wrote matched what the contestant answered … and it won for her !!! It was a great win for the contestant and a great win for Avery !!
Rest in Peace Dear 🙏 Conny Van Dyke

I really 💘 those tough teddy questions
I wanted to thank you for the large Thanksgiving offering of Match Game you made for us.
Fannie is about as Southern as they come…so chill!
Lol the ending was everything. And fannie's face. Lol
I would have matched Richard with the last one about smoke signals. I thought parcel post.
Contestant Roberta (Robbie) Henry Lawler is very cute and adorable.

During the cast call, Connie's smile made her look like Carol Channing! LOL

They did look similar.
Where'd they get the guy in the second match? Central Casting?
They'll always choose a person with a strong accent so Richard can practice his Southern drawl!
Dumb Donald went game hunting and shot his Monopoly board.

Boring and repetitive.
I think Brett Somers cheated there with her pahp response. Otherwise, how would she have known how he would have responded phonetically?
After watching 2 seasons, it is now clear enough that all the regulars take liberties like that.

Kathy Coleman the guy mumbled.
