You want your virtualization server to stay online and accessible even if the hardware failure happens. To achieve resiliency, you can configure RAID1. RAID1 mirrors the data between drives and enables a higher degree of reliability - if one drive fails, the other one will be used for data recovery and everything will continue running smoothly. Jeremy chooses to set up a RAID1 using two 300GB SAS drives.

I take screenshots/recordings of this type of stuff using a $20 USB capture card into a laptop running OSB. Its nice when customers deliver documents with snapshots of monitors and we turn it around with actual screenshots of installations/setups/etc
Thanks for the video! Now what would happen if you take out disk? Would you get a BIOS indication of failed raid or something? I Also heard setting up Proxmox with ZFS eats up SSDs so now I'm wondering instead to use RAID for host.
Why use hw raid in this day and age?
you should specify "this" is a RAID Controller mirror and not a ZFS mirror for Proxmox, which would be better then this hardware Raid1.
Also does your rigs raid card support ZFS?
Captured card would solve your issue cause you can pull the video signal from it and have it land in say OBS. There’s cheepys on Amazon that would work
So you have a second controller or not adding a nas
Love ur energy btwn I use Arch😂😂
