After entering the boot menu, you can select the boot device. In case your USB doesn’t show up, you need to change the order of the devices in the BIOS boot settings. Once you boot from the desired device, the installation process is pretty intuitive and easy to follow.

In the disk options, if there are multiple hard drives installed, you can create a mirrored ZFS array during the Proxmox OS install instead of a hardware RAID array like you did in the previous video.

You can't even do this. Proxmox installer does not recognise a bios created RAID1 array. People on the Proxmox forums claim various bogus reasons, like no raid driver, or data integrity reasons. It's just silly really.
Oh and Proxmox doesn't allow you to create a zfs pool unless the disks you're using are exactly the same size.

@@AndehX I'm not talking about a bios raid. In the Proxmox installer you can create the zfs mirror for the boot disk as part of the install process. Yes, you need two identical drives.
I've done this with multiple Proxmox installations. On the disks tab it shows the two drives that contain the zfs mirror with the boot disk. And in the zfs tab it shows 'rpool' for the boot drive.

The disk on which proxmox will be installed. *. I think "towards" is still a preposition in this context?

how would one convert esxi server to a proxmox server?

The R620 is one of the quietest Dell servers I've used! It's a fantastic lab machine.

@@calebknight3611 the only negative about it is that the raid card does not support pass through out of the box…..only the r630 does
