@@froggie1847 For real it's a cool Idea. Call it the Hi-point Challenge. all these guns are so over preforming it would give the sport some new blood that is less pretentious.
@@dreamcrusher-mkv2346 This video is of Open and Limited 10 nationals. Both of those divisions are essentially race guns, especially Open. Thomas Wright stop being a fudd. 1911’s are amazing guns don’t get me wrong. But there’s much better alternatives out there now. 1911=cool Glock/HK=practical
Crossfit has nothing to do with being good at competition shooting. Almost all of the best shooters in the world do not workout alot or they are overweight. They get good by practicing shooting skills repeatedly.
You need to watch present day competitions. Even those with larger bellies are physically fit underneath. This is just the way the sport has progressed through the years. If you are talking about bullseye shooting from a stationary position and stationary target, then yes, shooting ability alone can help you.
@@PidruBaguio If you are saying that crossfit will help in modern day competition shooting, then I will have to politely disagree with you. Practicing accuracy and practicing sprints will get you better. It may not get you in a good shape, but it will achieve the goal. Doing a bunch of powerlifting, gymnastics, and Olympic powerlifting (basis of crossfit) then practicing some shooting will make you mediocre. Power clean & presses, squats, etc will build an inefficient body for a quick & nimble accurate shooter. ua-cam.com/video/v_YFl3s1Pyc/v-deo.html Rich Froning is a way stronger crossfitter than JJ Racaza. JJ Racaza at the time was only cross fitting for 6 months. Unfortunately for Rich, this 👆 crossfit competition had a majority of running & gunning for scoring. Needles to say, the professional gun competitor , JJ Racaza, took first place. Rich only got 7th place, which means there were 6 other competitors who were also expert gun competitors. Those 6 were definitely NOT as good as Rich in crossfit, yet they all beat him in this crossfit competition. My point is, crossfit does not help with shooting competition. It will give people a fake confidence. But practicing shooting, sprinting, and shooting while moving will get you better at today's shooting competitions. Crossfit will not help you get better. Crossfit will get you good at crossfit, that's it really.
@@WickedCrane My point is that a shooter who is slow and overweight has a lesser chance of being competitive in today's action shooting sports. Shooting speed and accuracy will win you the competition of course but if you can't run the stage in a short time, you won't place anywhere in the top.
@@PidruBaguio ok, I can get with that. The only reason why I misunderstood you was the reply you made to my comment, my comment about crossfit will not help with shooting abilities. It may help a little, but over all crossfit will not make any significant changes or gaines to your competition shooting.
I'm down for the shooting but crossfit is a joke in the fitness community. It's a good way to destroy your joints faster than you can shoot . The community is riddled with poor technique, dangerous reps, and unattractive physiques. It sure is "interesting" but it's also a needlessly risky fad when there are far more tride and true methods of weight training on the market...
