We love the boat, the builders made our dream come true. I am a massive Take That fan and had just recently seen them on tour again. Thanks again for watching us
Great blog I love bloggers like yourself think people like you are very lucky every day if you choose to you can have a different view everyday it must be lovely all different trees flowers animals and quite engine so you can set off at 4am in summer keep up Great blogs enjoy your new life guys and girls
Gorgeous boat. I'm sure Our Time will bring you many happy years of cruising. Love the big bed! Couple of questions choice of cassette vs pump out I assume to give more storage vs tank under the bed and do the 240v fridge/freezer mean you have to run the engine more to top up the batteries on shorter winter days?
Thank you for watching our little channel. The bed is very big and very comfortable!! We decided to have cassette because you cannot rely on pump outs being readily available and at the time we had to decide there was a massive debate on compost toilets disposal facilities , to be fair we have found the cassette system works very well but have also looked at Compost and we may change in the future. As for the fridge and freezer no we don't need to run the engine to keep the batteries charged , We have a large Lithium battery bank 30Kw. In the past boats have run 12 and 24V appliances because of the limits on the inverters and lead acid batteries , we have a 5Kva inverter that's about 4.2Kw that will happily run all appliances on board. We are still to experience a full winter and we will be reporting all the running costs at 12 months, if we are not cruising I fully expect the solar to keep us fully charged . Happy to answer any further questions, we did cover some solar in another video showing the advantage of tilting our panels. We also will be covering the engine compartment and electrical cabinet soon, work in progress on the videos!! Thanks again for tuning in Phil & Marianne
@@CaptBadger-1 thanks for your comprehensive answer Phil. I'm looking to buy a boat in the next year will have a healthy budget but probably not enough for a custom new build. I like the idea of composting but with the CRT changes of rules seemed harder to dispose of the waste unless you have space to fully compost on the boat. Hopefully they'll introduce composting bins along with Elsan. I will likely moor at Cropredy you passed in your videos is a lovely marina if a bit pricey.
@@bitsandblocks7826 Hi. Cropedy is a lovely marina good facilities, maybe worth looking at the marina at Fenny Compton under new ownership nice people there now. If you have any further questions drop us a line and we are happy to answer or help. Hope you get your boat and have happy cruising, we certainly are. Phil & Marianne
Hi Thank you our boat is 57ft long, it looks longer because of the continuous colour scheme we chose on the exterior. thank you again for watching our videos
Hi. We started to document and record for family and friends so they can follow our journey. We aren’t doing this for any monetary gain or recognition. We have found other vlogs helpful on providing cruising, maintenance and other information, as well as enjoyable viewing, in our opinion. We have a hybrid boat so a little different to the norm. Hopefully provide a little light hearted look at our travels. Thanks
Lovely boat! Would love to see the engine and learn about your hybrid system 😊
Think my husband will go into more detailsoon
Great first vlog well done, looking forward to more adventures in the future.
