I have this pallet in the bottom of my paint tin box…I need to pull it out and play with them. Such a great painting, thank you 😊
Emma I have to say this is probably one of the best ever paintings you have done!! I absolutely love the colours and the sky is perfect for a moody touch just please can we have more in these colours!!! ❤
Beautiful! I love a moody forest scene, here and in real life!!
That definitely turned out very beautiful! I love the creepiness of it and how there's this greenish glow and the dappled lighting. The little ground cover plants you put in at the end gave it an eerie look, making it look like it could be sinister, or could just be a plant. I love it, it's really cool!
This was great. I loved watching you paint. I kept thinking what a great cover this would make for a mystery/thriller novel. Very cool but scary forest. Thanks! 😊
Wow that's wild, I've got Bluey on for my toddler for the first time ever today while I watch this. So funny and relatable 😊
This looks like such fun. I love the colours but wonder how versatile they are. would you do a few more videos using them please?
Hullo Emma, I truly enjoyed watching this video and painting exercise! I hope you feel comfortable enough to create more scenes like this! I am of the opinion that you are quite brave to break out from your usual content! I thought you did a fine job with the foreground and I did read the comments that are unhappy with you covering up the brown tone of the foreground, not true for me! Thank you for sharing this lovely painting with us!
Love love the colors and you did a wonderful job with that forest grove.
I really love this moody painting Emma! I had to get these paints! They will be perfect for painting haunting scenes!🥰🥰🥰
I really love the moody outcome, the depth of the misty distance👏❗👍 I want to try this right away so I hope I can get my mixing vibe going! Thank you!
A peece of an old creditcard is just a bit more handy to do this trealines than a paletknife. Good day to you and thank you for all your free lessons and tips
That was a magic 20 mins, Emma. Just watching that looming scene develop by your magic hands. Shades of Harry Potter! Was waiting for the grif to swoop down. I learned a great deal on technique in that lesson and I've always wanted to know how to do that misty distance look. Thanx for a great lesson. Cheers ,Sandi
This is amazing! I have many Kuretaki paints and love them all. Would so much like to see you paint with Art Nouveau or their 48-set. The colors are gorgeous.
this is a stunning palette, I should give these a shot ☺☺
Really like this moody painting, I have the Derwent Graphitint pan set, and the Derwent Tinted Charcoal pan, which are both quite moody, so will try with those 😊
I bought this set after watching this video. Need to sit down and try this out. I hope you will do more tutorials with these. I am new-ish to water color, I usually work in acrylics and brighter colors but this esthetic is such a vibe, I love it.
Great way to utilize these colors. I don't have these, but I do have a Derwent Graphite Paint palette, which has very similar colors to this - I might give this a try, as it seldom get used! For the tree fine branches I use many things, a toothpick, a wooden skewer, the edge of a credit card, my fingernail!
Hi Emma, I just did some water colour painting for the first time and used some techniques I've learned from watching your channel. Thanks!
This painting is so cool looking Emma. 😊
Paul Clarke recommends sharpening the end of your most used paint brush for the fine line method. I've been doing that, it works incredibly well and is a bit easier to wield and control than the edge of a palette knife.
Ooh I need this palette immediately for when I'm doing my mood painting! And more moody tutorial videos please Emma, I adore this!!! 😍😍 Good for you for pushing out your comfort zone 🥰 You should definitely do it more often! (Naomi Rooks - Flowin Rooks Art).
Absolutely LOve these moody colours! I got some tinted graphite sticks which are v similar effects. Would love to see you paint with those as alternative to these. More ideas with these please theyre so nice❤❤ loved your moody forest emma
I am mesmerized. So fascinating. I love the way you created the "light" in the center and maintained it. Just beautiful Thank you!
I love this and it’s fun to see you loving your work, too!
I love the faery air! ❤
Gives more of a night time vibe without the blue in the sky, definitely gives moody night scene.
Love this palette! On my list of must haves, still gotta pace myself😂
It was a good dark moody painting for sure. I liked it. Thank you Emma very much. Jk FLORIDA USA 🇺🇸
This is wonderful! I have a similar set from a different brand. You’ve inspired me!
This seems so sophisticated. Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely magic. Thank you
I love that, and I enjoy moody artwork. That painting tells a story. 💕🖌
This is amazing! I love it. You are so inspiring!
Hey Emma! LOVE this video and palette! Are these the Kuretake Graphite paints? If so, yesterday I saw a video of somebody buffing the dry layer with the belly of a spoon to really get that shiny graphite to come through! So cool. If they are not the Graphite ones, well, what can I say... OMW to the art store again... LOL. Love, Sonja
Are you going to do more with these paints? I really like them. I purchased the set right after this video. Maybe a night, water, sailboat, big bright moon?
It’s so great picture .Emma.
There is tension in the picture and the light at the back creates puzzles. What will I find there? I really enjoy seeing what you paint. The paintbox is really cool.
Those are gorgeous colors! More Halloween tutorials? 👻👻
Oh yes! Love love this! ❤
A dead biro pen is great, like drawing with no colour, and easy to store with your brushes. I love these colours. I’m wondering now how to create these colours using the paints I already own ( trying my best not to go ott with my paint collection.
I love it. I love the colors
I ordered these after watching your painting video. In my entire personal palette, I like Sepia & Payne's Gray best, so these are perfect! Wonder how they'd look as florals??? :) Fanna
Beautiful effect.
Love it....beautyful made, dear Emma!!!❤👍🍀🤗🇨🇭
This is so cool!!!
Wow! Love this. Thank for sharing
Love this!
I’m fairly certain this is meant for calligraphy Because that’s usually what Sumi pigments are for, but since it’s watercolor, suppose it has more versatility this way
I like it too!
Beautiful moody landscape! I like these colors but are they like a graphite paint? Thanks 😊❤
❤❤❤
Are these graphite paints? I purchased some liquid graphite and mix it with regular watercolors and get results like this
I felt you added to much paint at the bottom. The reddish brown was better.
Sorry but I didn’t care for this tutorial…too gloomy.
